Guilin is located in the northern part of Lingnan in our country.It is the zone of communication between the Central Plains and the Lingnan region,especially the northern part of Guilin.Since ancient times,it has been the first stop for cultural exchanges between the Central Plains and Lingnan.In the long-term political and economic exchanges between Guilin and other regions,its residential houses exhibited relatively stable regional characteristics,and their architectural features were mainly derived from the influence of the culture of Hunan,Jiangxi,and Guangdong.Guilin has long been the political,economic,and cultural center of Lingnan.There are many ethnic minorities in the region.Previous academic studies on Guilin ’ s residential houses have always been typical representatives of ethnic minority dry-lane buildings.Do you know that there are a large number of people in this area.Traditional village of Han nationality.The ancestors of these Han villages are mostly officials and literati in the Central Plains.The construction of traditional houses in the village has a profound cultural background.Among them,the traditional houses in the famous business road "Hunan-Guangxi Corridor" area are the most exquisite.The core area of "Hunan-Guangxi Corridor" mainly includes Quanzhou County,Xing’an County,Guanyang County and Lingchuan County in the north of Guilin.Since First Emperor of Qin built the Ling Canal,the connection between the Lijiang River and the Xiangjiang River has deepened the connection between the Central Plains and Lingnan,especially after the wave of "Jiangxi immigrants to Hunan and Hubei" in the early Ming Dynasty,a large number of immigrants from Hunan and Jiangxi passed through "Hunan-Guangxi Corridor" entered Guilin and settled in the northern area of Guilin.Lu Zuofan’s "The Ouvenir of West Guangdong" contains: Ninety percent of the people in Guilin are from Hunan.It can be seen that during the Ming and Qing Dynasties,many Han people moved in northern Guilin as the research object,from the perspective of geography,architecture,cultural geography and other multidisciplinary intersections,understands the connotation and regional characteristics of traditional houses in northern Guilin,and traces the cultural origins and evolutionary trends behind them.The northern part of Guilin is located at the border of Hubei and Guangzhou.In addition to being affected by the immigration culture,its unique geographical environment and climate have also had a profound impact on the formation of residential regional buildings,clarify the traditional residential settlements and architectural characteristics in northern Guilin,so as to understand the connotation of traditional residential buildings in northern Guilin And regional characteristics;the third part compares the traditional houses in northern Guilin with the traditional houses in Yongzhou in southern Hunan and Ji’an in Jiangxi,and explores and analyzes the traditional houses in northern Guilin and the houses in Hunan and Jiangxi from the perspective of human geography and architectural features.The similarities and differences,and the introduction of historical research thinking,reveals the historical process of the dynamic development and evolution of traditional houses in the region.Finally,this article focuses on the analysis of the influence of the natural environment and the cultural and historical environment on the regional culture of traditional residential buildings in northern Guilin,and discusses the causes of its cultural and geographic characteristics.An in-depth understanding of the architectural culture and origins of the northern region of Guilin is a supplement and improvement to the study of regional architectural culture in the Lingnan region.It also helps to understand the general process of the transmission and evolution of architectural culture,and provides assistance to promote more in-depth research on Guilin’s architectural culture.In addition,the study on the comparison of the Guilin Xianggan-style dwellings with those in southern Hunan and Jiangxi has not been tried before,which
