mostly officials and literati in the Central Plains.The construction of traditional houses in the village has a profound cultural background.Among them,the traditional houses in the famous business road "Hunan-Guangxi Corridor" area are the most exquisite.The core area of "Hunan-Guangxi Corridor" mainly includes Quanzhou County,Xing’an County,Guanyang County and Lingchuan County in the north of Guilin.Since First Emperor of Qin built the Ling Canal,the connection between the Lijiang River and the Xiangjiang River has deepened the connection between the Central Plains and Lingnan,especially after the wave of "Jiangxi immigrants to Hunan and Hubei" in the early Ming Dynasty,a large number of immigrants from Hunan and Jiangxi passed through "Hunan-Guangxi Corridor" entered Guilin and settled in the northern area of Guilin.Lu Zuofan’s "The Ouvenir of West Guangdong" contains: Ninety percent of the people in Guilin are from Hunan.It can be seen that during the Ming and Qing introduction of historical research thinking,reveals the historical process of the dynamic development and evolution of traditional houses in the region.Finally,this article focuses on the analysis of the influence of the natural environment and the cultural and historical environment on the regional culture of traditional residential buildings in northern Guilin,and discusses the causes of its cultural and geographic characteristics.An in-depth understanding of the architectural culture and origins of the northern region of Guilin is a supplement and improvement to the study of regional
