Research On Blade Shell Quality Improvement In Company Y Based On Six Sigma Management

Six sigma management firstly actualized in Motorola at the end of 1980 s and implemented widely in Fortune 500 enterprises such as GE and Samsung.With the improvement in statistic technology and management skills,the six sigma management has become a comprehensive management tool running through the whole corporate from corporate culture to operation.The six management is based on statistic technology and foremost a business process that enables the corporate to increase customer’s satisfaction,reduce cost and achieve continuous breakthrough.With the changes in new energy policy and the fierce competition from peer companies,company Y faced with all kinds of problems,such as order decrease,quality decline,cost increase,etc.Company Y was in urgent need to introduce a new management tool to realize the development.The essay starts with the introduction of the company’s business scope and its existing problems,and analysis the six sigma management’s apply in the quality improvement.The essay elaborates the measures Company Y took when first introduced six sigma management.And also it takes the quality problems in producing VARIM as an example to introduce DMAIC model’s apply in improving production and management of Company Y.By monitoring the performance indicators and collecting data,they identified Y company’s current problems and set up clear improvement goals.Subsequently,through the evaluation of the measurement system and certain data analysis,they determined the key factors affecting the resin content of blade.Based on the DOE experiment,they optimized the key factors affecting the resin content and established the control method to maintain the improvement.The project successfully achieved the expected goal,and the production and management level of Y Company was improved.Through the case study of the six sigma quality improvement project of company Y,it is hoped that this project experience can provide reference for the quality improvement of manufacturing enterprises in the industry.
