Reshaping Strategies Of Positive Space In Urban Existing Residential Areas Based On Environment Behaviors

With the society development,some public spaces in existing residential areas have owned a certain negative attribute because of improper design,aging facilities,single function and other reasons.It is an urgent problem in the process of residential construction in China that how to rebuild the "negative space" in existing residential areas into "positive space" in the purpose of space utilization rate improving and community vitality creating.In this thesis,the behavior and psychological needs of urban residents were taken as the breakthrough point,and the public space of existing residential areas was chosen as the research object.Using the methods of literature research,theoretical research,field research,comparative analysis and systematic summary,the construction elements of "positive space" in existing residential areas were studied,based on the psychological needs of urban residents.(1)People oriented is the premise of shaping "positive space".The service object of the public space in the existing residential area is people-oriented,so in the shaping of "positive space",we should first take the urban residents as the main body,starting from the behavior and psychological needs of the residents.(2)Material design is the carrier of shaping "positive space".The shaping of the material level of "positive space" in the existing residential area mainly refers to the influence of the whole material in the space on the behavior and psychological activities of the people in the space,including the accessibility and comfort of the space.(3)Function design is the soul of "positive space" “ The design on the functional level of "positive space" mainly includes the hierarchy and diversity of space,so as to meet the overlap of time and space in the use of "positive space".(4)Place design is the guarantee of shaping "positive space".In order to ensure the rich and diverse life forms of urban residents in the space,the space must have the characteristics of security,attribution and identifiability.(5)Material,function and place complement each other.In order to shape the "positive space" of the existing residential area,we need to design the material level,the functional level and the place level,and these three aspects influence each other and cannot be separated.
