| In the field of environmental design,the research on human cognition and behavior is enduring.Whether it is a large-scale urban environment study,a medium-scale campus environment study,or a small-scale architectural space study,there are researches on cognition and way-finding behavior.At present,in the development process of campus construction,university buildings have gradually shown the characteristics of high intensification,complex functions,and megastructures.This change in external form affects the design of the interior space of university buildings,and in terms of cognition and behavior.Affect the users of the activities.In addition,the density of users in the interior space of university buildings is relatively high,and there are higher requirements for evacuation.Therefore,it is necessary to study the cognition and way-finding of the interior space of university buildings.This paper takes the interior space of university buildings as the research object,from the perspective of cognition and way-finding,researches on the cognition and way-finding of university users in this space,in order to propose space design strategies that are conducive to cognition and way-finding.First,it introduces the related theories of spatial cognition and way-finding,and then investigates the interior space and users of university buildings,and analyzes the existing way-finding problems,such as unreasonable sign system design,complicated spatial layout,lack of space features,etc.These all have a certain impact on cognition and way-finding.Based on this,take the interior space of China University of Mining and Technology as an example to carry out relevant experimental research.Through interviews,questionnaire tests,way-finding experiments,university building interior space cognition experiments and other research methods,relevant data are collected,and the characteristics of people’s spatial cognition and way-finding in the interior space of university buildings are summarized and analyzed.Research and experimental results show that: the traffic space,signs,light,and furnishings in the interior space of university buildings will all have an impact on cognition and way-finding.In summary,for the design of the interior space of university buildings,it should focus on five aspects: interior layout,traffic space design,interior decoration,sign system,and visual accessibility,and put forward corresponding design strategies.Finally,according to the design strategies,a renovation strategy for the experimental site was proposed from three aspects: interior decoration design,sign system design,and interior brightness adjustment.The research results can provide a reference for the interior space design of university buildings. |
