| Automotive logistics,an important sub-sector of logistics industry,refers to the physical delivery of raw materials,parts,finished vehicles and after-sales parts involved in the whole automobile supply chain from the supply place to the destination,fluctuating upon changes in the development trend of the automobile industry.After many years of rapid development,the year-on-year decline in automobile production and sales volume in 2018 marks a turning point for the automobile industry.It was the first negative annual growth over the past three decades,meaning that the industry is ushering in a new period featuring low growth and increasingly fierce competition within the industry.The changes in the automobile industry have resulted in decline in the business volume and service prices of the automotive logistics industry.Worse is that,the industry is also impacted by other factors at the same time,for example,the increasing transport cost caused by the full implementation of the GB1589-2016 and governance of overload of car transporters,rising labor cost,etc.All these factors have imposed huge pressure on the survival of automotive logistics enterprises.It is very urgent and necessary for these enterprises to adjust their development strategy,according to changes in internal and external development environment,to win competition and market,and further play a solid foundation for their healthy and long-term growth.C Company mainly engages in automotive logistics businesses.This paper mainly studies the development strategy of C Company,including the following major contents in details.First,analysis of the development environment.To analyze the macro environment of the automotive logistics industry based on PEST analysis from four aspects of policies,economy,society and technology;to analyze the industry environment from three points,including the development trend of the automobile industry,the development of the automotive logistics,and five forces analysis for the automotive logistics industry;and to analyze the internal environment of C Company from such aspects as resources,capabilities and problems.Second,evaluation and selection of C Company’s development strategy through SWOT-QSPM model.To use EFE and IFE model to evaluate the internal and external environment of C Company,to use SWOT matrix to prepare the accessible strategies,and lastly use QSPM model to select the most suitable one.Third,formulation of C Company’s strategies and measures to improve its weaknesses to ensure the execution of such strategies.To formulate the business-level strategy based on the most suitable development strategy,and measures are presented to facilitate the execution of these strategies by putting forward specific requirements for the following aspects of logistics network layout,the way for recruitment of employees,improvement of technology and equipment,and update of HR management capabilities etc.It is hoped that the research in this paper can provide a certain reference value for the development of C Company and play a reference role for other logistics companies with similar situations. |
