With the arrival of the New Industrial Revolution,a new round of global science and technology revolution and production reform came into being.Developed countries regard scientific and technological innovation as an important factor in international competition,while China regards building an innovative country as its national modernization development strategy.Engineering is one of the disciplines in the subject catalogue of our country.Since the enrollment of doctoral students in our country,the enrollment scale of engineering has always been far ahead of that of other disciplines,and the education of engineering doctoral students undertakes the important mission of training high-level innovative talents in our country.To a certain extent,the training mode of Doctor of Engineering determines the quality of doctoral education,and then determines the level of training high-level innovative talents in China.However,there are few studies on the training mode of Doctor of Engineering in China,mainly focusing on the overall development trend of the doctoral level,ignoring the disciplines differences of the training mode of Doctor of Engineering.Therefore,exploring the development process and evolution logic of the training mode of Doctor of Engineering is of great value to guide the current reform of the training mode of Doctor of Engineering.This paper mainly uses literature research,historical research and case study,and selects T University as the research object.First of all,the origin and significance of the research,the core concepts,the existing research review,research ideas and methods,and the basis for case selection are described.Then,under the guidance of the theory of knowledge production mode and historical institutionalism,the historical changes of the training mode of doctor of Engineering in t University are combed from the aspects of training objectives,training process and graduation requirements.The training mode of doctor of engineering is divided into four stages: the brewing stage,the initial stage,the adjustment stage and the development stage.The training objective changes from academic to social,the training process changes from single to multi-agent participation,and the graduation requirement changes from scientific innovation to technological integration.Influenced by the reform of macro educational management system,economic system and scientific and technological system,the training mode of engineering doctor of T University has experienced gradual and fractured changes,from academic to applied talents.However,due to the restriction of "system network",the lack of motive force of university change and the lack of market participation,the formation of applied talents training mode is blocked,and the reform of engineering doctor training mode shows obvious path dependence.Based on the above analysis,this study proposes future options for the training mode of doctor of engineering.First of all,establish the principle of reforming the training mode of the doctoral degree of engineering with the purpose of serving the national strategy,guided by social needs,and following the law of education itself.Secondly,optimize the external environment of the doctoral training model of engineering,including optimizing the design of the top-level system,establish a linkage mechanism between the cultivation of doctoral engineering and the market,and improve the scientific and technological innovation mechanism that combines production,education and research.Furthermore,the action strategy of the doctoral education mode of engineering should start from breaking through the concept and break the path dependence,explore the establishment of a classification and training system for engineering doctors,establish a standard system for granting classified degrees,and improve the supporting system for the training model of engineering doctoral education to achieve an application type with multiple subjects Reform of talent training model.
