Research On The Competitiveness Of The Intelligent Power Grid Equipment Industry Cluster In Longhu High-tech Zone,Shantou City

After years of accumulation and development,Longhu High-tech Zone was recognized by the Ministry of Science and Technology of China as ‘National Torch Plan Power Transmission and Distribution Equipment Special Industrial Base in Shantou Longhu’.However,in the context of increasingly fierce competition,intelligent power grid equipment industry in Longhu High-tech Zone is facing the restriction of development.It is a difficult issue on how to achieve high-quality development of industrial clusters,and form a comparative competitiveness in front of the government,industry associations and cluster enterprises.This paper starts from the theory of industrial cluster competitiveness,sorts and integrates previous researches,and consolidates and analyzes the development status of intelligent power grid equipment industry cluster in Longhu Hi-tech Zone through various aspects such as industrial structure,core leading enterprises and research and development institutions.In the meantime,in order to analyze more scientific guidance,this paper uses GEMS model by constructing GEMS model to determine the four influencing factor pairs of the cluster,AHP hierarchical analysis to determine the index weights of the factor pairs,and then uses issuing questionnaires to collect and organize the factor scores of each index of the cluster,calculates the score results of the competitiveness of the industrial cluster after ranking the score results of each factor,and combines the results of the interview with one representative expert from government,association and enterprise to verify and analyze the advantages and disadvantages of the intelligent power grid equipment industry cluster in this region.The following conclusions in terms of the competitive factors of the intelligent power grid equipment industry cluster in Longhu High-tech Zone are:(1)better development of the domestic market;(2)more complete industry chain of the cluster;(3)better scale,management level,financial status and competitive strength of the enterprises in the cluster;(4)well developed infrastructure in the park and a certain research foundation.The disadvantageous factors are:(1)high labor cost,lack of professional and technical talents,low independent innovative ability,and moderate location conditions;(2)less interaction and communication among enterprises and weak function of industry associations;(3)insufficient government support and inefficient support measures;(4)weak product advantages and limited international market expansion.In brief,according to the advantages and disadvantages of the industry cluster,this paper proposes development countermeasures to enhance the competitiveness of the intelligent power grid equipment industry cluster in Longhu High-tech Zone from various aspects,including strengthening the introduction of talents,strengthening school-enterprise cooperation,optimizing the employment environment,promoting independent innovation and technology introduction,improving the function of industry associations,increasing government support,implementing premium brand strategy,and relying on leading enterprises to cultivate small and medium-sized enterprises.
