With the development of quality education and urbanization,primary and secondary schools in the city began to face a difficult situation in the design : the school’ s per capita building area is increasing,the school ’ s per capita land area is decreasing.How to create a good campus space environment that meets the requirements of quality education under the condition of limited land use has become the focus of designers ’thinking.In this context,the concept of complex began to be applied in the design of primary and secondary schools,primary and secondary school campus complex arises at the historic moment.Because of its intensive,efficient and sharing characteristics,it can effectively improve the utilization of land,improve the efficiency of campus operation,promote the communication between teachers and students and increase campus vitality,and gradually become an important direction in the design of primary and secondary schools.At present,the domestic primary and secondary school campus complex is still in the exploration and development stage,the relevant theoretical research is less and not perfect.Based on the above background,this paper adopts the methods of literature research,case analysis,field research,and graphic method.Firstly,it analyzes the contradictions in the design of primary and secondary schools in traditional cities in the contemporary era,and expounds the reasons and rationality of the introduction of the concept of complex into the design of primary and secondary schools through the study of multiple high-density urban primary and secondary schools.Then,combined with the actual excellent cases,the specific design methods of primary and secondary school campus complex are studied.Finally,the theory is combined with practice,and the research results are applied and tested through design practice.The design practice is regarded as the combination of theory and practical projects to test its feasibility.The article is divided into five chapters.The first chapter is an introduction,including the background and source of the research,the purpose and significance of the research,the definition of related concepts,and the research status at home and abroad.The main content of the second chapter of this paper is the analysis of problems.In view of the contradictions and problems of primary and secondary schools in contemporary cities,this paper summarizes the design and exploration practice of primary and secondary schools in multiple high-density cities,expounds the reasons and rationality of the introduction of the concept of complex,and expounds the connotation and characteristics of primary and secondary school campus complex.The third chapter studies the specific design strategies and methods on the basis of the theoretical research in the second chapter,and conducts in-depth research on the specific design methods of the existing primary and secondary school campus complex cases as the theoretical guidance of the following design practice.The fourth chapter is the design practice chapter,taking the conceptual design of Yujinglu primary school as an example,as the confirmation of the above research results.The fifth chapter is the conclusion and prospect.It summarizes the main research results of this paper,expounds the shortcomings of the research,and puts forward the prospect for future research.It is hoped that this study can provide some reference for the design of urban primary and secondary schools in the future.
