Research On Renewal Design Of Public Space In Old Community Under The Background Of Urban Micro Renewal

With the acceleration of urbanization and the continuous development of urban construction,China’s urban renewal construction has changed from the traditional way of“large-scale demolition and construction” to the mode of “micro-intervention”.In2020,the national policy proposes that the old urban areas will no longer be rebuilt and urban governance will be realized in the way of renewal.Therefore,urban micro-renewal has gradually become an important means for the utilization and development of public space in old urban areas.Many urban old community public spaces do not meet the requirements of modern urban development,and there are some problems,such as poor quality of space environment,decline of community vitality,lack of humanistic atmosphere and historical context and so on because of its early construction.In view of the characteristics of the public space of the old community,based on the development and transformation of the modern city,the traditional renewal method will no longer be suitable for the transformation of the old community.Therefore,in order to meet the needs of residents’ modern life,micro-renewal is an effective way to integrate the existing resources,to improve the quality of space and environment,and to search for the community culture,which is also the inevitable choice to enhance the overall style and appearance of the city.Taking the urban micro-renewal as the starting point,based on the methods of literature review,field investigation,induction and questionnaire investigation,this paper summarizes the research status of urban micro-renewal and the public space of the old community at home and abroad,and studies the design strategy of the public space of the old community.The results are as follows:(1)According to the comparative analysis of the relevant research situation at home and abroad,it is found that the domestic micro-renewal of the public space of the old community is increasing day by day.At this stage,there is a lack of specific solutions,lack of public space design to enhance residents’ exchanges and the vitality of the community.(2)Through the case analysis and field investigation of the public space in the old community,it is found that there are many common problems,such as traffic congestion,aging public facilities,single vegetation greening,lack of space use function,lack of humanistic and historical atmosphere etc.At present,in the public space of the old community,the environmental quality is poor,with the lack of regional and era characteristics.(3)According to the analysis of the feasibility and influencing factors of micro-renewal,th paper obtains the micro-renewal strategy of public space in the old community,which takes micro-renewal as the intervention means to improve the quality of space environment and carry on the organic continuation of human space.This paper takes this as the basis for the design practice of public space micro-renewal in Quan’an district.Through the micro-renewal design of material environment and cultural environment,the activity space suitable for communication is created to show the vitality of the public space of the old community and gradually enhance the sense of belonging of the residents of the community.Taking the design practice as the learning experience,this paper concludes that the micro-renewal of public space in the old community can be used for reference and meets the renewal needs of urban sustainable development.It can provide basic research for the renewal design of public space in old residential areas under the background of urban micro-renewal in the future.It is suggested that the public space of Quan’an Community in Changchun should be micro-updated to create an old community public space in line with the characteristics of “ small-scale and progressive”,retain existing resources,promote and optimize the space shape,and form a vibrant old community public space.
