Research On The Design And Application Of Roof Farm In Urban Roof Greening

Regarded the roof farm as the research object,the paper involves in studies of the relevant foundation of the roof farm,foreign excellent cases and practical cases in urban roof greening in China in the way of combing the concept and development background of the roof farm.The author also combs the problems in design,management and application,and then puts forward strategies which aiming at providing reference suggestions for the design and application of roof farm in the future.The paper is divided into three parts:Part1.Analysis of development background and research object.In this part,it covers the concept of roof farm,combs the development process of roof farm,summarizes the types,new characteristics and operation mode of roof farms,also demonstrates the feasibility of roof farm in urban development.Part2.Cases analysis.The foreign excellent cases and domestic field research cases of commercial,popular science education and leisure orientations are analyzed in this part.Through the deep analysis of the excellent cases in the design phase,technology application and operation management of roof farm,the experience can be used for future reference,and then the design and application of these three different functional types of roof farm are summarized in the manner of comparative analysis.In-depth research on farm design,technology application,operation and management are carried out among Shenzhen “No.8warehouse” sky farm(for commerce),roof farm of Guangzhou foreign language school(for popular science education)and Guangzhou high rise residential roof of small roof farm(for leisure time).Then the problems in the design,management and promotion of roof farms in China summed up through the questionnaire survey to make clear awareness and design preferences for roof farms among public.Part3.Design and Application Strategies.In view of the problems which existed in the practical application of roof farm in urban roof greening in China,relevant design and application strategies,along with forms the research results of this paper are put forward,combined with the theoretical research and outstanding cases of roof farms.In terms of the design,the design principles and methods of roof farm are put forward.The design strategies and related construction technologies in site selection,design orientation,space design,planting design,breeding and landscape detail design of roof farm are carefully explored in detail,so as to provide guidance for the design of roof farm.As for management,the paper gives some suggestions on the management of the farm fertilization,weeding,pest control and roof facilities maintenance.In the aspect of popularization and application,government support,financial support,property management and concept changes are proposed to promote the development of roof farm.
