| Wave climbing refers to the phenomenon that the liquid level climbs higher than the static water surface when the wave hits the slope of hydraulic structures such as slopes and embankments.The height of wave climbing is an important parameter for determining the top elevation of the embankment in breakwater and revetment projects.The existing standard wave climbing formula is an empirical formula fitted from physical model test data.This formula is limited by the scientific research conditions at the time and has the problem of limited scope of application.Wave nonlinearity is an important factor affecting wave breaking.The existing research results lack a systematic study of this climbing formula under the condition of strong nonlinear wave in the shallow water range of slope and embankment.In order to expand the scope of application of the wave climb formula in the code and improve the calculation accuracy of the formula under strong nonlinear conditions,this paper uses the Navier-Stokes equation to determine the free surface by using the VOF to construct a numerical test flume for the wave climb of the slope embankment.By Analyzing the height of wave climbing of numerical simulation test,physical model test,and standard formula,analyze in detail the calculation accuracy and limitations of the wave climb formula in the code,and modify the regular wave climb formula outside the applicable scope..This paper first carried out the regular wave propagation,numerical simulation and accuracy verification in the numerical test flume of the slope embankment wave climbing.The wave height duration curve is consistent with the theoretical value,and there is no obvious attenuation phenomenon during the propagation process.The numerical test results of wave height under different wave parameters fit well with the physical model test results.The numerical flume established in this paper can accurately simulate wave propagation and climb and is reliable.This paper then carried out the research on the applicability of the standard wave climbing formula under the condition of strong nonlinear regular wave.A comparative analysis of the height of wave climbing obtained from numerical tests,physical model tests,and standard formulas shows that when the Ur is greater than 60,the accuracy of the calculated value of the standard formula is low,which exceeds the allowable range of engineering errors.It is recommended that the applicable conditions of Ur<60 should be met when applying the standard wave climbing formula.A revised study was carried out on the wave climb formula outside the applicable range,and an empirical formula suitable for strong nonlinear regular waves was given.The formula was verified by quoting physical model data.The revised wave climb formula can be better fit the test results of the physical model.The thesis also carried out the research on the applicability of wave climbing formula in strongly nonlinear irregular waves.A comparative analysis of the height of wave climbing obtained from numerical tests,physical model tests,and standard formulas shows that under the condition of gentle slope(m>1.5)and strong wave non-linearity(Ur>5),according to The wave climbing accuracy obtained by the standard formula is low,and the wave climbing formula in the standard needs to be used carefully under this condition. |
