| In recent years,as China’s automobile manufacturing,machining,building construction and other industries continue to grow and develop,the market demand for bar products has become more and more robust,and the quality of the product has also put forward higher requirements.Quality has become a key factor to win the market competition.However,most of the domestic production enterprises still solve the quality problems mainly afterwards,which cannot solve the problem at the root.And the product quality is always in the state of “ standing still ”.How to solve product quality problems and improve product quality through scientific and effective management methods is worthy of our in-depth study.As a scientific quality management method,the PDCA cycle has the characteristics of cycle and repetition.Therefore,this paper tries to take the PDCA cycle theoretical method as a guide to study the product quality improvement of bar stock in Company B as an example to achieve the improvement and enhancement of product quality.The paper firstly reviewed the current status of product quality improvement and PDCA cycle research at home and abroad,and then introduced the quality management and product quality problems status of B Company.Then,it used PDCA cycle method to improve bar product quality.The improvement process was as follows: in the planning stage(P),the process control state is understood through the unqualified number control chart,and the process is found to be out of control.Then,it is analyzed that the main quality problem affecting the unqualified bar is the crack,and the causes are analyzed.then the improvement countermeasures were formulated,according to the "5W1H" idea for the root cause of the crack;In the execution stage(D),the specific measures were implemented according to the established countermeasures;In the inspection stage(C),a comparison chart of the effect before and after the improvement was drawn to check the implementation effect of the execution stage;In the disposal stage(A),the improvement results were summarized,standardization was implemented,and the remaining problems were moved to the next cycle to be solved;Finally,the benefit of quality improvements was evaluated.It was found that by improving the main influencing elements of cracking such as personnel skills,mill maintenance and billet quality through the PDCA cycle,the bar cracking problem could be effectively improved,and the product nonconformity rate decreased from 3.95% before improvement to 1.92% after improvement,saving quality cost of $164,000 and improving the bar product quality and the company’s quality management level.The research of this paper can provide a new method reference and theoretical reference for the same type of production enterprises to improve the quality management level and carry out product quality improvement.The paper has 27 figures,17 tables and 50 references. |
