Research On The Renewal Design Of The Old Settlements In The Ancient City Of Suzhou

In recent years,with the rapid development of Suzhou’s urban economy and the acceleration of the modernization process,the government is also and deepening the pace of protection and renewal of Suzhou’s ancient city.As an important part of the residential space type of the ancient city of Suzhou,the old settlements is the living place for most residents in the ancient city.However,due to the old problem of the residential area,it is unable to provide residents with a good living environment.Based on this phenomenon,the renewal and reconstruction of the residential areas in old settlements has gradually attracted the attention of the government and become an important way to improve the quality of the local residents’ living environment.In order to provide a good material living environment for the residents of the old settlements,meet the material and immaterial needs of the residents of modern residential areas,and optimize the space environment of the ancient city of Suzhou,this paper deeply discusses the renewal and reconstruction of the old settlements of the ancient city of Suzhou.First of all,the relevant content of the development of the old city is studied to understand the resistance of the development of the ancient city.This paper studies and summarizes the renewal and reconstruction of old residential areas,and analyzes the needs and behaviors of residents.Secondly,according to the relevant contents of Suzhou’s ancient city renewal and basic situation of Suzhou’s ancient city,this paper select typical representative of blocks 48 and 53,and carries on an investigation of current situation of the old countryside residential living,to find out the specific problems of the old settlements in ancient city of Suzhou from two aspects of quality of living environment and residents living conditions.Then,according to the problems found in the survey,from the perspective of improving the quality of residents’ living environment and optimizing the space environment of the ancient city of Suzhou,this paper carries out a specific renewal design for the residential area of the blocks48 and 53 from the whole residential area and the interior of the community.Finally,on the basis of the investigation and renewal design of the old settlements in the blocks 48 and 53,the paper puts forward the strategy summary of the renewal design of the old settlements in the ancient city of Suzhou,which provides a theoretical basis for the renewal design of the old settlements,and also provides some basis and reference for the renewal of the old settlements in other areas.
