Planning And Design Of Country Park Based On Bird Habitat Construction

The serious destruction of bird habitats due to urbanization and other reasons has led to a steady decline in bird biodiversity,and there is an urgent need to protect bird biodiversity.As country parks have certain ecological conservation functions and are a more ideal environment for birds and other wildlife,the creation of bird habitats in country parks has important practical implications.This paper is about bird habitat creation in country parks.Through literature research and case studies,it clarifies the theoretical basis of country parks and bird habitats,summarizes the key factors affecting bird habitats and the ecological habits of birds in different ecological groups,draws on the experience and methods of country parks and bird habitats in domestic and international cases,and thus proposes principles and strategies for country park planning and design based on bird habitats.And the planning and design practice is carried out in the case of the Tuojiang Country Park in Jianzhou New Town,Eastern New District of Chengdu.In the planning and design section,relevant analysis of the current situation and research on bird resources in Chengdu is carried out.31 species of birds are selected as targets for habitat creation in the study area,involving five major ecological groups: wading birds,wading birds,songbirds,climbing birds and raptors.The analysis of the spatial ecological niches of feeding,nesting and resting spaces,and the summarization of the factors influencing the selection of bird habitats that construct the bird habitat suitability evaluation system.And then using Arc GIS software to carry out bird habitat suitability evaluation that based on the current situation of the site to elicit the key issues that be addressed in the planning and design.Based on the above research and analysis,the principles and objectives of the planning and design are proposed,and the key habitat factors are used to construct a target bird habitat selection index system and derive the planning and design strategy for the country park.Ten habitat types for the target birds will be constructed,and specific planning and design will be carried out in terms of water,vertical orientation,vegetation,roads,festivals and service facilities to complete the master plan,zoning design and special planning and design of the country park.The significance of this research on the restoration and creation of bird habitats is that it gives full play to the biodiversity-supporting function of country parks and enhances the bird biodiversity of the site;it responds to the science education function of country parks,and will disseminate the awareness of biodiversity conservation to humans.Additionally,the relevant research and the planning and design strategies applied are summarized,it is hoped can be used as reference for the creation of bird habitats in Chengdu country parks in the context of park city.
