In recent years,food safety incidents such as poisonous cowpea,poisonous leek and so on occur frequently,causing people to pay close attention to food problems.Pesticide residues in vegetables as an important culprit in triggering food safety incidents,have also become the focus of discussion after meals.Taking vegetable cultivation in Zhongshan City as an example,the use of pesticides by vegetable growers was investigated,the results of pesticide residue detection of vegetables were analyzed,and the control measures of pesticide residues in vegetables were put forward.The main findings of the paper are as follows.First,14.74% of vegetable growers have objective and comprehensive understanding that vegetable producers are the first responsible persons for vegetable quality and safety;75.79% of vegetable growers thought that they should pick them after the safety interval;74.74% of vegetable growers mainly depend on the recommendation of pesticide retailers when choosing and purchasing pesticides;86.32% of vegetable growers said that they had never bought fake and inferior pesticides;83.16% of vegetable growers said that only when they ask for their own initiative,the pesticide salesmen would explain the scientific use technology of the pesticides they sold;71.58% of the growers would give priority to the control effect of pesticides when choosing pesticides;82.1% of growers had the experience of overusing pesticides.Secondly,the results of pesticide residues in rhizomes,melons,legumes and vegetables are similar,among which rhizome vegetables the lowest;The detection rate of pesticide residues in the main monitoring sites was as follows: wholesale market(100%)>production base(99.91%)> agricultural market(99.78%)> supermarket(99.74%);From2015 to 2017,the average passing rate of pesticide residue detection of vegetables in Zhongshan City increased year by year;The towns in Zhongshan City with better control of agricultural disability include the Shiqi,East Area,South Area,West Area,Nantou,Dongsheng,Minzhong,Fusha,Banfu,and Sanjiao,while the control of agricultural disability in Xiaolan,Tanzhou,Guzhen,Nanlang,Dayong and Flare Area is relatively poor;Thirteen kinds of pesticides exceeding the standard were detected,86 times in total.There was a phenomenon of mixed use of pesticides,among which the chlorpyrifos was detected most frequently.Thirdly,the main reasons for pesticide residues in vegetables in Zhongshan City are as follows: vegetable growers lack scientific awareness of pesticide use,slow development of pollution-free vegetables,imperfect standardized production management system of vegetables,imperfect agrotechnical extension system,loopholes in pesticide management,imperfect detection of pesticide residues,and government supervision and management is not in place.Fourthly,the control strategies of pesticide residues in vegetables in Zhongshan City are as follows: promoting standardized production of vegetables and strengthening the management of pesticide use;improving the extension mechanism of agricultural technology,strengthening the education of farmers in drug use,promoting low toxicity and low residue and biological pesticides,strengthening the construction of agricultural technology team;improving the quality inspection system of vegetables,speeding up the formulation of technical standards,improving the technical level of testing points,carrying out self-inspection of products of large agricultural enterprises;establishing agricultural standardization system,strengthening the management of pesticide market,strengthening the guidance of vegetable market.
