Objective: To explore the prognostic factors of epithelial ovarian cancer,so as to provide a basis for the clinical prognosis evaluation of patients, and improve the prognosis and quality of life of patients with epithelial ovarian cancer. Methods: 152 patients with epithelial ovarian cancer admitted to the Department of Gynecology of the Second Hospital of Hebei Medical University from January 2010 to December 2015 were selected. All patients were followed up by telephone and outpatient visits until February 1,2021.Among 152 cases,35 cases were lost to follow-up,with a follow-up rate of 77.0%.The end point of follow-up was death of the patients.Retrospective analysis method was used to study clinical and follow-up data.In this study, factors included age, pretreatment CA-125 level, ascites,FIGO stage, histology, residual disease, chemotherapy regimens and cycles were analyzed. The significance test level was P<0.05.Receiver operating characteristic curve(ROC)was established to analyze the optimum cut-off value of the preoperative age and ascites.Kaplan-Meier method was used for survival analysis,Log-rank test and Cox hazard-ratio model were used to determine factors influencing the prognosis of EOC.Results:1.Till the day of February 1,2021,72 of the 125 cases died from EOC.The 3-,5-year overall survival rates were 59.8% and 48.7%,respectively.The median overall survival is 56 months(ranged from 4-132 months).2.The optimal cut-off values of age and ascites were 52.5 years old and450 ml,respectively.3.Univariate analysis revealed age, ascites,FIGO stage, histology, residual disease, chemotherapy cycles were all risk factors for overall survival.Multivariate analysis revealed factors such as age, ascites and stage were independent overall survival factors(P<0.05)ConclusionsThe 5-year survival rate of patients with epithelial ovarian cancer after standard initial treatment was about 48.7%.Age,FIGO stage, residual disease were independent prognosis factors of EOC.
