| Zhu Junsheng is one of the four famous experts on Shuowen-Jiezi,who has made significant contributions to the field of philology,exegetics and phonolog y.The book reflecting his achievement best is Shuowen-Tongxun-Dingsheng,w hich consists of three parts,Shuowen,Tongxun and Dingsheng.This study main ly focuses on and analyzes the part of Dingsheng,exploring his research on arch aic phonology and summing up the included thoughts of archaic rhyme.In this topic,this study is carried out from the following several aspects:1.Describing the corresponding relationship between the Zhu’s partition of archaic rhyme and ancient and modern phonetics.Zhu divided the archaic rhym e into 18 parts.If reckoning entering tone in,the archaic rhyme is made up of 28 parts.We find the leading word in every part,compare their phonetics noted by Pingshui Rhyme and Guang Rhyme,and finally show it in table form.For the ch aracters dispersing in each rhyme part,we describe those separately in sub sectio n referencing the archaic rhyme partition of Duan Yuzai and Wang Li.Through t he analysis of Zhu’s partition of archaic rhyme,we know Zhu divided the archai c rhyme according to the rhyme property and partial tone principle of rhyming w ord.2.Dong,Dong and Jiang were fitted into the Feng part uniformly by Zhu.The part of Yi,Jie and Lue were three different parts,that is,Zhi,Zhi,Zhi is divi ded.However,some characters in Zhi and Zhi rhyme were put into Yi part,som e characters in Zhi and Zhi rhyme were put into Lue part,some characters in Zhi and Zhi rhyme were put into Xie part.This study mainly focuses on the basis ofthis partition.3.Zhuan Yin theory is the important part of Zhu’s archaic rhyme thought,w hich includes the Tongzhuan and Heyun of Wang Li.Tongzhuan is the transfer b etween tail vowel of Yin and Yang tone and entering tone when the characters be long to the same part and have the same main vowel.However,in Zhu’s perspec tive,the relationship between Yin and Yang tone is closer than that between Yan g and entering tone,so he regarded the rhyme of Yin tone and entering tone as ar chaic rhyme,rather than the Zhuanyin.The Lin and Qian part in Yang rhyme has the corresponding entering tone,Xi and Ke,which is an integrated one and put i n the content of archaic rhyme. |
