A Study Of Literary Space In Shi Yifeng’s Novels

In recent years,there have been many excellent novels written by Shi Yifeng.His literary works are not designed for the market of the common people or cater to vulgar tastes.They are elaborately crafted and attract people’s attention from the academic circle with their unique and attractive writing characteristics.Graduated from the Chinese department of Peking university,he studied actively and applied western creative techniques and artistic techniques into his work.At the same time,he focused on forming his own unique creation method in his novel.His works are labeled as “New Realism” in the literary circle.Shi Yifeng has a strong sense of time and space.He is highly sensitive to time and space,especially in mastering and controlling space art.Therefore,he presents a strong spatial narrative in his novels.This paper is based on Shi Yifeng’s novel text,aiming at a thorough interpretation and detailed analysis from the perspective of literary space.This paper is divided into three parts: introduction,main body and conclusion.The introduction discusses the research background,research status,research significance,research methods and ideas of this paper.The conclusion summarizes this paper,elaborates the literary space construction of Shi Yifeng’s novels,and points out the expectation for Shi Yifeng’s novels.The main part of the study is based on a close reading of the text.Under the academic research background of “space turn”.Literary space theory is used in this paper to analyze Shi Yifeng’s novels.The analyse are divided into five chapters:The first chapter mainly introduces the development process of the concepts of “space” and “space turn”,clarifies the concept connotation of the word “space” discussed in this paper,and determines the relationship between space turn and literature,namely the formation of literary space theory under space turn.The second chapter discusses the physical space in Shi Yifeng’s novels,which can be divided into geographical space and prison space from macro and micro perspectives.It emphasizes the cultural representation of geographical space and prison space.The third chapter discusses the psychological space in Shi Yifeng’s novels.Shi Yifeng’s novels depict the images of vagrants and interlopers with “marginal people” but different characteristics.These two types of characters have different psychological values,and their different migration characteristics reflect different psychological space construction.Meanwhile,Shi Yifeng’s novels contain many reverie and dreams.Therefore,it is necessary to interpret their psychological space.The fourth chapter is to analyze the social space in Shi Yifeng’s novels.Social space is the space of interpersonal relationship,which contains different social factors such as politics,economy,culture,class,etc.Shi Yifeng’s novels construct a variety of social spaces and show the current situation of the differences among different social classes.According to the characteristics,they are divided into political space,cyber space and gender space.The fifth chapter elaborates the significance of literary space in Shi Yifeng’s novels.Shi Yifeng’s novels are sensitive to the society.The unique literary space he has constructed has profound implications.It extends the expression of literary space beyond the traditional literary space and reveals how space constructs the subject of characters,namely the reappearance of class differences between subjects and the yearning of the subject of characters for poetic space.
