Gaogouli(BC37-AD668)was established in the second year of Jianzhao(BC37 and was destroyed by the Tang Dynasty in the first year of Zong Zhang(AD668).It lasted for 705 years.In the past seven centuries,the Central Plains Dynasty has undergone a change of dynasties,and the regime in the Northeast has been even worse.The relationship between Gaogouli and them is also tense,wartime and peaceful.With the expansion of its territory and territory in waves,the city,as the material carrier of the regime,also has different emphases and settings in different periods.Based on the comprehensive collection of the data of Gaogouli city site and its development and expansion,this paper,supported by archaeological data,focuses on the textual research,systematically combs the relevant contents involved in the spatial distribution of Gaogouli city site in China from the initial,formation and abandonment history of the city site.According to the research content and structure,the article is divided into five parts.In the introduction part,it discusses the background and problems of the research,systematically summarizes and combs the current research status of the academic circles at home and abroad for the city site of Koguryo,summarizes the research content and ideas,and puts forward the significance of the research.The first chapter is the overview of Gaogouli city.This chapter analyzes the origin of Gaogouli city and the distribution and characteristics of Gaogouli city site in China.This paper analyzes the origin of Gaogouli’s city building from the natural environment and national customs.At the same time,according to the discussion of the location,function and shape of the city site,the characteristics of the city site distribution are summarized.The second chapter is the distribution of the eastern line.From 37 B.C.when the capital city was established in Hunjiang River Basin,the focus of Gaogouli’s development was to expand to the East.The development of its eastern city site is in stages,which is consistent with the stage of political power expansion to the East and Southeast.The third chapter is the distribution of the north line.During the Han Dynasty,Gaogouli city site was built in the early stage.The distribution area of its political power was centered on the middle reaches of Hunjiang River and Yalu River.With the steady development of the political power,Gaogouli began to expand its territory and territory in the north.After the exploration of the typical city sites in the north,the characteristics of Gaogouli city site setting in this area were summarized.The fourth chapter is the distribution of the west line.In the nearly 400 years from the Han Dynasty to the Wei and Jin Dynasties,the important development direction of Gaogouli was to the east of Liaoning Province.Based on the analysis of the competition between Gaogouli and the different forces in Liaodong,this paper explores the expansion of Gaogouli’s western territory and the construction of Western joint defense system.The fifth chapter is the reflection of Gaogouli city in China.The distribution of Gaogouli city has the characteristics of stages and regions.Through the exploration of the main functions and military defense pattern of Gaogouli City,we can understand the relationship between the evolution of Gaogouli city spatial layout and its political power historical process.Gaogouli’s regime,which has existed for nearly seven centuries,is a key perspective of the ancient East Asian world.This paper will take the Gaogouli city site excavated in China as the research object,and explore the role of Gaogouli city site in the whole historical period from the establishment of Gaogouli regime to its demise.
