| With China going into the 5G Era,not only Smart Education has been booming but Mobile Learning has become more prosperous,which have brought huge opportunities and challenges to the career of Teaching Chinese as Second language.With this background,this article focuses on the effectiveness of Chinese characters APP for foreign students.Therefore 70 questionnaires was distributed.The results of the questionnaire show that although most foreign students(90.0%)think that Chinese characters are difficult,but more students(94.3%)have interests in Chinese characters.And they(81.4%)think that the stroke order of Chinese characters is very important.They are willing to use the Chinese character APP to assist their learning on the basis of APP efficiency.The main reason is that it is portable(42.9%)and it is not limited by time and space.Therefore,they would use the Chinese character APP to assist learning during self-study time and fragmentation time.On this basis,a teaching experiment is designed to explore the effect of APP-assisted learning of Chinese characters.This study was taken two weeks to finish with the help of 34 Foreign students.The Experimental Group not only used traditional writing methods to memorize Chinese characters,but also used the Chinese character APP "Learn to write Chinese characters" to assist in memorizing Chinese characters;The Controlled Group only used traditional writing method to remember Chinese characters.By collecting,describing and analyzing data results,this article draws the following conclusions:1.In terms of correctness and standardization of Chinese characters,the scores of the Experimental Group were higher than those of the Controlled Group.And the error rate of stroke direction,folding stroke and stroke order of the Experimental Group were all lower than that of the Controlled Group.2.The Independent Sample T Test results show that the Chinese character APP has a limited improvement in the accuracy of writing Chinese characters for foreignforeign students has reached a statistically significant role;The specification and folding rule are limited,but it can significantly improve its stroke order specification.3.The Chinese character APP has little effect on the correctness of foreign students writing Chinese characters with few strokes(≤10 strokes),Chinese characters with multiple strokes(> 10 strokes)and the correctness of Chinese characters with different structures.However,it has a certain auxiliary effect on the standardization of foreign students writing Chinese characters with few strokes and Chinese characters with multiple strokes and the standardization of Chinese characters with different structures.Subsequently,three participants from the Experimental Group were selected for semi-structured interviews.They all expressed a positive attitude to the Chinese character APP,hoping that the developer can continue to optimize its learning function and fun function.Finally,some suggestions were put forward for foreignl students,Chinese teachers and Chinese Characters APP developers. |
