| In Japan,family movies have always been favored by directors and have developed very mature after decades of development.In the new century,director Hirokazu injected fresh blood into Japanese family films and became one of the most important directors in the contemporary Japanese film industry with his exquisite emotional expression and unique personal style.His family movies are delicate and restrained,trivial and slow,calm and simple.Hirokazu seeks the true meaning of emotion in the ordinary family life and are loved by the audience.Also,he has won important awards in domestic and international film festivals for many times.As a director with distinct personality,what best represents his personal style is his unique narrative art.On the contrary,he tried to avoid drama and eliminate traces of human existence in the process of narration,which was a breakthrough and innovation of the narrative rules of classic films.Based on the theory of film narratology,this paper takes eight family films written by Hirokazu,including Nobody Knows,Aruitemo Aruitemo,I wish,Like Father Like Son,Umimachi Diary,After the Storm,Shoplifters and La vérité as the research text.Through a detailed discussion of the narrative forms and various forms of narrative content in Hirokazu’s movies,this paper summarizes the author’s style of narrative in Hirokazu’s and family movies.It is expected to make a breakthrough in the research of Hirokazu’s family movies and naricology,and also hopes to bring some new inspirations for the future Chinese family movies.This paper is divided into the following four parts.First of all,Hirokazu’s family movies creation background will be divided into Japanese movie environment today and Japanese family movies history origin two aspects,and this paper also discusses the definition and the creative process of Hirokazu’s family movies;Secondly,analysis of Hirokazu’s family movies narrative content,including narrative motif,narrative plot and codes;Third,analysis Hirokazu’s family movies narrative structure,including narrative structure,narrative perspective,narrative time and narrative space;Finally,by comparing Hirokazu’s family movies and and some Chinese family movies with regrets,gives three notable revelation,hoping to provide ideas and directions for the creation of Chinese family theme films today. |
