Study On The Application Of Chinese Folk Strange Characters In The Ceramic Ancient Color Decoration

Mystery novels are one of the forms of Chinese classical novels,and the characters derived from the mystery novels have given great imagination to future generations of art creators.There are also a wide variety of works on Chinese folk characters,such as New Year paintings,shadow puppets,genre paintings and so on.The image of strange characters is exaggerated,with distinct personality and folk life atmosphere.A lot of artistic creations with strange characters as themes show people’s desire to punish evil and promote good,envy evil and hate it clearly.Ancient color is a kind of traditional ceramic decoration technique,which played a very important role in the history of the development of Ming and Qing ceramics.The ancient color is developed from the "great Ming multicolor" foundation,to the early Qing Dynasty when Kangxi mature and has a prominent achievement-the invention of the glaze blue color "gucui" instead of theblue of blue and white porcelain.It uses a wide range of materials,figures,landscapes,birds and flowers,animals,fish and algae,patterns can be described as objects.The content mostly reflects the drama stories since Yuan and Ming Dynasties,such as romance of The Three Kingdoms,The Romance of West Chamber,poetic flowers and birds of Tang and Song Dynasties,landscape and folk auspicious meaning of the theme.Its artistic style was influenced by engravings and illustrations,murals and folk paintings in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties.Nowadays,ancient color painting in decorative techniques and subject matter more varied.In this paper,the author tries to summarize some characteristics of the characters in Chinese folk fantasy novels through his own understanding.In the creation practice of ceramic and ancient color painting,the author imagines the description content of the characters,summarizes them as individuals,and arranges them into the picture with story plot.Through the ceramic ancient color this unique ceramic art form presents a different fairy tale picture scroll.In this paper,characters in traditional Chinese fairy tales are selected as the research object to conduct in-depth research and creation on the application of the elements of fairy tales in modern ceramic and ancient color painting art.The use of ancient colors to represent strange tales can enrich the characters and ceramic painting forms at the same time,so as to inherit and carry forward the traditional Chinese culture.
