| The simulated consecutive interpreting is based on the New Year’s Eve speech Friends of Time by Luo Zhenyu on December 31,2019,which introduces the basic development of China in economy,education,science and technology and other fields.The speech has provided a platform to share collective ideas from several experts to boost the social development effectively in the era of knowledge-sharing economy.The speech also inspires the generation should face challenges and do things instead of standing by judging,which is of great significance to the people.The speed of the speaker is moderate,but there are some profound meanings,some professional terms and several stories covering a wide range,which can be huge challenges in interpreting.The report discusses the background,requirements and the process of the interpreting.In addition,the author focuses on analyzing her simulated interpreting practice from the perspective of comprehension,deverbalization and re-expression of Interpretive Theory.There are some difficulties such as repetition and redundancy,culture-loaded words and unclear logic.Therefore,the interpreter concludes some corresponding strategies under the principle of Triangular Model as omission and simplification,literal interpreting,explanatory interpreting,free interpreting,amplification and reformulation of logic to convey the speech in an accurate and concise manner.It is vital for the interpreter to improve the quality and serve as a bridge promoting communication by connecting the theory with the practice.On the one hand,the report tends to seek her bottlenecks and improve the author’s interpreting ability by conducting an analysis and summary of this simulated interpreting.On the other hand,the author hopes to make contributions to the interpreting studies in the future under the limited efforts of the author. |
