A Study Of Bloch’s Humanistic Thought

As one of the representative figures of early western Marxism,Ernst Bloch lived in exile all his life and experienced the disasters brought by the two world wars.In this context,Bloch asks questions about human nature and discusses how human beings can truly realize their freedom at present,whether they are pessimistic and disappointed or full of confidence,thus forming his humanist thought based on hope.His humanism thought aims to awaken the inner spirit of human beings,to emphasize the attention to human emotions,to the possibility of the future with hope.Paper to Bloch’s humanistic thoughts as purpose,at home and abroad on the study of Bloch humanism thoughts based on the analysis of the status quo,from the impact of the two world wars,the influence of the Soviet union socialist mode,especially the development of the United States itself,and on to Vietnam’s war analyzed the time background of humanistic thoughts.And from the messiah and the mystery of gnosticism thoughts,tuo,this also,human thought,the German classical philosophy thought and the theory of Marx’s revolution of people’s subjectivity and so on four aspects analyzes the Bloch this thought the theory source,manifests the Bloch’s humanistic thoughts of pluralism and complexity.In this context,this paper probes into the main content of Bloch’s humanism from the theoretical basis of Bloch’s humanism--the principle of hope,as well as the specific forms of expression,religion,literature and art.Hope,as the intrinsic force of humanism,contains the path to a better future,which contains things that have not yet existed,and guides the positive and optimistic attitude of human beings.Religion and literature and art are two external forms of humanism.Humanism in religious dimension transcends the absolute opposition between atheism and theism.Bloch advocates inheriting the heritage of religion,better explaining the connotation of human liberation,redemption and revolution,and awakening the return of humanity in religious theory.It is in accordance with this logic that he proposed the view of "religious atheism" and established the connection between religion and Marxism.Literature and art are the other side of the external expression of humanism.Bloch speaks highly of literature and art,and thinks that literature and art can illuminate the future.Criticize society through literature,fairy tales,music,architecture,novels and other artistic forms,and express the truth of humanism with literary works.In order to realize the hope of human natures,this paper begins to Bloch’s theory of thought as the revolutionary of human liberation,and discusses the human rights and dignity that human beings should have,the spirit of fighting optimism that human beings should have in the revolution and the road of socialist democracy reconstruction,so as to explore the path to realize his humanism.Through the study of Bloch’s humanism,we can see that Bloch’s humanism has opened up a new field of the study of the theology of hope to a certain extent,influenced the liberation theology movement in Latin America,and then promoted the reform movement of Czech humanitarian socialism,which has a certain theoretical value and practical significance.However,due to his strong religious thoughts and theoretical defects,he did not analyze the reality from the economic and political perspectives,thus falling into the abyss of Utopia.
