| In the wave of media society,traditional villages have also shown a complex process of change under the intervention and influence of film and television media.The research case selected in this study comes from Dongwangjia Village,Wenyuan Sub-district Office,Gangcheng District,Jinan City,Shandong Province.In this village facing immigrants from the reservoir area,how can it abandon pressure from all parties and use images to truly present the status of the village? How can stimulate the enthusiasm of the villagers to participate in the image expression together,so as to enrich the dimension and depth of the image? And,what are the similarities and differences between the images produced by the author with multiple identities and the folk images of the villagers? What are the underlying backgrounds of these commonalities and differences?This study is based on the related theories of film and television linguistics,film and television anthropology,and communication,and conducts in-depth research on the case of participatory video practice in the village of Dongwangjia.Combined with field practice,the concepts,theories,principles,recording methods,and narrative expressions of‘participatory imaging’ are analyzed one by one,and the practice of participatory imaging in the village of Dongwangjia is summarized.The author’s self-practice process is analysed.The author also reflects and summarizes the changes in his three roles as the instructor of the villagers’ photography,the locals,and the research practitioners,as well as the impact on the villagers and the village.Based on the above,this study further discusses and points out the significance of‘participatory video’for village development and television studies.The significance of this research is to explore and practice the‘participatory imaging’that brings a new way of image production to the changing villages,that is,handing over the camera to the villagers,allowing the villagers to express themselves from their perspectives,and at the same time,it is also very important to the researchers.Multiple reflections on identity and image results.The camera is transferred from the hands of outsiders to the hands of the villagers.The change in the subject of shooting means that the villagers’ image production is entered and shot from the photographer’s own local beliefs,daily life,and cultural regulations.In this sense,it brings new ideas.The recording angle of view has opened up more possibilities for people to break through the traditional recording angle of view.At the same time,the filming ideas of the researchers are also a process of stimulating,and finally produces the ‘subject and objective cooperation’ folk images of the researchers and the villagers.Such research and practice have special disciplinary significance and social value.It has found a new direction and possibility for the record and development of the village culture in the changing situation of the complex situation. |
