| Chinese characters are the written symbol system to record the Chinese language,so the teaching of Chinese characters is the most important part of Chinese language teaching.However,Chinese learners,especially those from non-Chinese cultural circles,think that Chinese characters are not only difficult to recognize,but also difficult to learn and remember,which is reflected by a high rate of writing errors in Chinese writing.From the writing corpus of primary Chinese learners in the Confucius Institute of Kenyatta University,the author found that errors in Chinese character writing are a common problem.Therefore,this paper focuses on the study of errors in Chinese character writing of Chinese learners,and on this basis,provides feasible suggestions for the majority of teachers engaged in Chinese character teaching.Specifically,this paper mainly includes the following four parts:The first part is the introduction,which introduces the origin and significance of the research,and then summarizes the research status of Chinese character teaching,foreign Chinese character teaching and Chinese character writing errors,and introduces the research methods and the source of the corpus of this paper.The second part is the focus of this paper.Firstly,it summarizes the identification of wrong characters and other characters,the collection and extraction of corpus,the recording methods of errors and data statistics.Then,based on the data collection of 1521 cases of wrong characters and 59 cases of other characters,data collation,classification and analysis were carried out.The 1521 cases of wrong characters were carefully analyzed from three levels of stroke,part and whole character,and the 59 cases of other characters were expounded from four aspects of sound homophones nearly,formal close,substitution within words and irregular different characters.Among them,the errors of characters in stroke level are subdivided into stroke number,stroke shape,stroke direction,shift,stroke order,the relationship between strokes and the ratio of length and length.The problems of components are sorted out and analyzed in detail from three aspects: addition,alteration and displacement of components.The problem of the whole character is analyzed and elaborated in detail from two aspects of the structure layout error and word splitting and combining.The third part will collect the results of the questionnaire survey on the teaching and learning of Chinese characters,and conduct data collation and analysis.On this basis,this paper analyzes the causes of writing errors of primary Chinese learners in Confucius Institute of Kenyatta University from both objective and subjective aspects.This paper elaborates the objective reasons from three aspects: Chinese characters themselves,teachers and schools.The subjective reasons are mainly analyzed from three aspects: learning motivation,learning strategy and learning attitude.The last part is to make teaching suggestions.In this chapter,the author puts forward some specific suggestions on teaching primary Chinese characters,which are discussed in detail from three aspects: teaching principles,teaching strategies and teaching methods.At the same time,according to the error corpus collected in the actual teaching,from the perspective of wrong characters and different characters,this paper puts forward some suggestions on teaching examples of HSK Level 1 Chinese characters. |
