A Report On Simulated Interpreting Of Press Conference For 2019 Hunan Economic Cooperation Negotiation And The 9^th （Global） Hunan Business Conference

The content of this practice report is the simulated Chinese and English consecutive interpreting at the 2019 Hunan Economic Cooperation Negotiations and the 9th(Global)Hunan Business Conference Press Conference.This practice report is mainly guided by Gile’s theory and other translation theory.The practice report fully analyzed the various problems that occurred in this mission and analyzed the causes of these problems,and proposed solutions to provide a substitute for the improvement of the quality of reciprocal transmission in the future.In this practice report,the author first introduces the background,difficulties,and characteristics of the task,and then elaborates on the preparatory work required before the interpreting and the summary work after interpreting.Secondly,using Gile’s Effort Model to analyze the problem of interpreting,the author selects the misinterpreting and omissions of interpreting,which is divided into three parts,which are the analysis under the listening and analysis,note-taking,extra-linguistic knowledge,and other objective factors.Then according to the report the author proposes coping strategies.Finally,the author makes a comprehensive summary of this interpreting practice.Chapter three is the key chapter of this report.The author summarizes the interpreting process in three situations and the application of translation techniques for the process,specifically including the interpreting process under high-density information output,and the author take the technique of generalization and reduction;the second part is interpreting of Chinese characteristic expressions,the author take the technique of explicitation and supply extra-linguistic knowledge;for the third part,in using of notes,the technique used is to form a logical system and make an vertical structure.In addition,it is important to communicate as much as possible with the best seniors in the interpretation field and to continuously improve your interpretation level through various ways.These coping strategies proposed by the author in this paper can not only help to improve the quality of one’s own translation,but also provide reference for other novice interpreters.
