C-E Translation Of Characteristic Terms In Chinese Political Papers A Report On C-E Translation Of Work Report Of Yunyang County People’s Government In 2019

After years of development,China ushers in a new era of overall reform and opening up.With the close attention of foreign media,the translation status of Chinese political papers has become increasingly prominent.This thesis is a C-E translation report of a Chinese political paper.The chapter “Case Analysis”,the core part in the thesis,initially explores the difficult Chinese characteristic vocabulary and sentences as research objects.In view of the difficulties of translation,the author adopts various translation methods,aiming to conform to the original meaning,improve the accuracy of the translation and ensure the quality of the translation.Through above analysis,this report draws the following conclusions: Skopos Theory emphasizes that translation is a cross-language and cross-cultural communication activity.This theory is of great significance for the translation of government work reports.Since the core purpose of the sponsor of the government work report translation is to achieve external communication and publicity,the translation must be based on the realization of the publicity purpose,so that the translation conforms to the language,culture and thinking characteristics of the recipient,so that the external publicity information can be accepted and understood.Therefore,in the translation of Chinese political thesis,the translator should clearly define the purpose of translation,and can use literal translation,free translation,omission and other translation methods to achieve the best purpose of external publicity more accurately according to Skopos Theory.
