| This practice report is based on a Chinese-English simulated interpretation of a course session of the MOOC-titled “Non-literary Translation”.“Non-Literary Translation” is a MOOC conducted by Li Changshuan and many other excellent teachers from Beijing Foreign Studies University.MOOC’s first three courses are selected as practical materials,and the content mainly involves the lecturer’s own translation theory and teaching process.This interpretation practice is guided by the Interpretive Theory.This report analyzes the author’s interpretation and methods under the guidance of the Interpretive Theory,focusing on using different interpreting methods to express clearly in the premise of understanding the original text.This report may provide a reference to the interpretation study.This consecutive interpreting practice report consists of five parts: Chapter one is the task description,including the background,objectives,and significance of the interpreting task.Chapter two is the process description,introducing pre-interpreting preparations,like background knowledge and psychological preparation;in-interpreting operation,as two ways of understanding the interpretation called top-down and bottom-up information processing methods;post-interpreting summary.Chapter three is the theoretical framework,which mainly introduces the Interpretive Theory and its three stages---understanding,de-verbalization,and expression.Chapter four is the case analysis,analyzing the difficulties encountered and corresponding solutions to the difficulties.Chapter five summarizes this report. |
