Although the number of prepositions is limited,it is very important in Chinese grammar system.Its main function is to preface and mark a variety of syntactic and semantic components,to make the syntactic and semantic structure of the sentence more tightly structured.Different kinds of prepositions are easy to distinguish,but there are overlapping relations between similar prepositions,so foreign students often produce errors.The preposition "gei" is frequently used in oral expression,writing and daily communication,and the error rate of mixing use of "gei" and "dui,gen,xiang,wei" is higher.First of all,this paper summarizes the research on "gei" in the field of Chinese grammar and teaching Chinese as a foreign language,clarifying its syntactic,semantic and pragmatic functions.Then it collects a large number of errors containing the preposition "gei" from the interlanguage corpus,divides them into four categories:misuse,redundancy,omission and wrong order,and analyzes the causes of errors in detail.Based on the ontology of "gei",this paper differentiates and analyzes the object prepositions which are easy to be mixed from semantics,syntactic position and collocation object.Based on the analysis and summary of the biased corpus,the reasons for the errors are divided into negative language transfer,lack of comparison and practice of similar prepositions,avoidance and simplification strategies adopted by learners,and defects in the compilation of textbooks.In terms of textbook setting,this paper examines the presentation of "gei,dui,gen,xiang,wei" in the three sets of Chinese language teaching materials commonly used for foreigners.,and comparing it with the content required by International Curriculum for Chinese Language Education,the advantages and disadvantages of textbook compilation are summarized.Finally,based on the actual errors and the corresponding causes of errors,we propose some feasible suggestions for the teaching of object prepositions from the aspects of teaching Chinese as a second language and Chinese teaching materials,in order to provide some reference for the actual teaching activities and students’ learning of Chinese,so as to reduce students’ errors.
