The common means of expressing grammatical meaning in Chinese are word order and function words,while the one with more complicated usage and more factors is preposition.The object prepositions "dui" and "gei" are the learning contents of the elementary stage in the syllabus of teaching Chinese as a foreign language and the examination syllabus,but the error rate of foreign students in English-speaking countries is relatively high.Prepositions with similar semantics and usage are often confused and erroneous,which is a normal way for foreigners to acquire prepositions.Therefore,the teaching of prepositions is a key and difficult point in teaching Chinese as a foreign language,which should be paid attention to.As for the contrastive study of the object preposition "dui" and "gei",this paper studies the semantic function,syntactic structure and pragmatic function of the object preposition "dui" and "gei",and finds that there are differences and intersections between the object preposition "dui" and "gei",which make the students in English countries confused.It is not clear when exactly which of these very subtle differences should be used,which leads to the negative transfer of students in English countries,resulting in errors.Based on this,this paper analyzes and discusses the errors in the acquisition of the object-oriented prepositions "dui" and "gei" by foreign students from English-speaking countries.In this process,it is done by using ontological research combined with the error sentences in the corpus.After studying and analyzing the errors of the object prepositions "dui" and "gei",in English-speaking countries,it is found that the students in English-speaking countries have a good grasp of the basic usages of the prepositions "dui" and "gei",which are frequently used.However,some of their special usages,such as common fixed collocations,and the discrimination of similar prepositions,are not well grasped.The rate is very high.Therefore,based on the analysis and statistics of the HSK dynamic composition corpus of Beijing language and culture university and some related literatures,this paper sums up the errors of prepositions "dui" and "gei" acquired by foreign students in English-speaking countries into four types,the mixing,redundancy,omission and compound errors among prepositions,and probes into the causes of the errors according to the four types of errors.Finally,based on the statistics of these errors and the summary of the errors into the research basis,this paper from the aspect of textbook and teachers' teaching methods of the object class preposition "dui" and "gei" to put forward some suggestions.It is hoped to provide some useful references for the teaching of object prepositions "dui" and "gei" and students' learning,so as to reduce the occurrence of similar errors.
