| With the rapid development of society,people are facing great pressure in their life and work.The translator selects The Little Book of Stoicism as the translation practice material,aiming to introduce the main ideas of this school of philosophy,to help people deal with the negative emotions in life and examine everything with a detached attitude.In this competitive society of today,people should adjust their mentality in the face of difficulties and setbacks in work and life,so that they can do their best to face the changes of the world and keep calm.Eco-translatology is an interdisciplinary translation theory that combines ecology and translatology.It is based on the theory of “adaptation and selection” in Darwin’s theory of evolution,and is a translation study from an ecological perspective.Eco-translatology focuses on the analysis of translation process and the relationship between translation eco-environment and translators.Eco-translatology summarizes the translation strategy as “three-dimensional transformations”,that is,under the principle of “multi-dimensional adaptation and adaptive selection”,“three-dimensional transformations” relatively focused on the adaptive selection transformation of language,culture and communication.The translation text selected in this report is a philosophical text.From the perspective of the “three-dimensional transformations” of Eco-translatology,in order to adapt to the translational eco-environment of different dimensions,some specific methods are applied to solve the problems in the translation process.In the linguistic dimension,the conversion of part of speech is used to adapt to lexical ecology,and transformation of sentence structure is used to sentence ecology.In the cultural dimension,the translator adopts the transformation of cultural-loaded expressions and the use of four-character words.In the communicative dimension,the translator adopts logic transformation and the transformation of textual cohesion.In recent years,“three-dimensional transformations” of Eco-translatology has been used in many fields of translation,but it has never been applied to philosophical text translation.Therefore,this report explores the feasibility of “three-dimensional transformations”of Eco-translatology to guide the translation of philosophical texts,and finally comes to the conclusion that “three-dimensional transformations” of Eco-translatology can guide translators to translate philosophical texts,and maintain the ecological balance and harmony between the source language and the target language. |
