Constructive Study On The Ethical Codes Of Engineering Association In Contemporary China

Engineering community is the main body of engineering activities,and engineers are the important members of engineering community.As an organization form of engineers,engineering professional associations play an important role in engineering activities.The ethical rules of engineering professional associations play an irreplaceable role in standardizing the professional behavior of engineers,guiding their professional ideals,and reducing and preventing engineering ethical risks.In a certain sense,the ethics charter of the engineering professional society is not only the basis to guide the professional behavior of engineers,but also the practical guidance of the principle of engineering ethics "for the safety,health and well-being of human beings".Firstly,this paper expounds the theoretical issues related to engineering professional associations and their ethical charter,and introduces the emergence and development process of engineering professional associations and their ethical charter in China.Emphasize the professional ethical responsibility of engineers;Combine occupational ethical responsibility with occupational virtue.Secondly,it studies the current situation of construction of professional ethics articles of association in contemporary China,and analyzes the existing problems and causes of construction of professional ethics articles of association in China.The main problems are as follows: the construction of ethics constitution of engineering professional associations lags behind;The development of engineering professional associations is not perfect;The innovation of ethics charter of engineering professional association is not enough.The main reasons for these problems are as follows: first,the administrative color of China’s engineering professional associations is strong;Second,it is out of touch with China’s practice as an "big engineering country".Third,the engineer’s career ideal is not clear.Thirdly,in view of the problems existing in the construction of the ethical articles of association of contemporary Chinese engineering professional associations,the countermeasures for the construction of the ethical articles of association of Chinese engineering professional associations are put forward.First,establish the basic principles to be followed by the construction of ethics constitution of contemporary Chinese engineering societies,such as the principle of primary responsibility,the principle of equity and justice,and the principle of sustainable development.Second,enrich the content of the construction of engineering professional ethics articles of association in China.For example,learn from the experience of the construction of engineering professional ethics articles of association in developed countries,absorb the essence of the ethics thoughts of traditional Chinese professional societies,and track and study the frontier issues in the field of engineering ethics.Thirdly,we should improve the relevant mechanism of ethics constitution construction of contemporary Chinese engineering professional societies.It mainly includes: strengthening the autonomy mechanism of Chinese engineering professional associations,improving the education mechanism of ethics constitution of Chinese engineering professional associations,and constructing the restriction mechanism of ethics constitution of Chinese engineering professional associations.This paper discusses the construction of ethics constitution of contemporary Chinese engineering professional societies,and tries to construct the ethics constitution of contemporary engineering professional societies with Chinese characteristics,so as to meet the practical needs of China’s transformation from a "big engineering country" to a "great engineering country".
