Research On Craftsman Spirit From The Perspective Of Engineering Ethics

With the increasing number of engineering practice activities in China,ethical issues in engineering activities become obvious gradually.Numerous risks and the occurrence of accidents are directly related to engineers as the subject of practice.Therefore,we should not only pay attention to engineering itself,but also reflect on Chinese engineers' professional ethics.Craftsmanship spirit,as engineers' professional ethics,is the code of ethics that engineers are required to abide by.Craftsmanship spirit standardizes and restrains engineers' work activities.To understand the features of the professional ethics of Chinese engineers and to analyze the problem of the lack of craftsmanship spirit in engineering practice activities in China,this paper introduces the situation of Chinese and foreign engineer's professional ethics in different periods.By comparative study,this paper concludes the features of Chinese and foreign engineer's professional ethics in different periods,analyzes the reasons of the lack of craftsmanship spirit in China at present and explores the historical origin of this problem.Based on the emerging problems in engineer's professional ethics and their reasons in modern times,this paper puts forward corresponding measures for improvement.Firstly,it is necessary to set up the “people first” concept in project construction so as to make the project pioneering and innovative and keep pace with the times.What's more,modern engineering education should attach more importance to engineer's professional ethics education,cultivate engineering majors' professional ethics and promote the development of their sense of responsibility.In engineering practice,engineers should not only abide by the codes of professional ethics consciously at work and shoulder social responsibility,but also promote the public welfare and protect the ecological environment.
