| Semiotics as a separate disciplines,its complexity is self-evident,based on the semiotics research Angle as the breakthrough point,to illustration design and one of the symbols as the research object,this paper discusses the criss-crossing the relationship between symbols and illustration design,and explores in the illustration design practice with semiotics as the guiding theory of the design strategy and methods.This paper firstly expounds and analyzes the concepts of semiotics,symbols and illustration design,and holds that semiotics is a subject that studies the various connections between human behavior and symbols.Symbol is a physical existence that has the ability of referencing and conveying sense.Illustration design is a kind of comprehensive painting design art.Then it briefly discusses the relationship between semiotics and symbols,as well as symbols and illustration design,explaining that semiotics guides the process of illustration design and the use of symbols,and the graphics used in illustration design is a kind of symbol,and the design process is also the process of symbolizing works.Secondly combining with symbols in the application of illustration design work and design process,analyses the composition of illustration of the graphic symbol and color symbol language,and discusses the works on the use of symbols,and discussed from two aspects of classification and semantic illustration works of graphic symbol characteristics,and then to symbolic function and advantage of its positive impact on illustration design is expounded in the paper.Finally,this paper combines the study of symbol and illustration design,takes design practice as the experimental object,explores the strategy and method of illustration design activities,and takes this as the guiding ideology to complete the "Yi Yu" series of illustration design works. |
