Research On Li Guangtian’s Literary Thought

Li Guangtian is a famous educationist and litterateur in China.As an educationist,he spent the last sixteen years of his life at Yunnan University and dedicated his life to the cause of education;as a litterateur,he blended "the perfection of poetry" and "the rigor of novels",created a unique artistic style,and made remarkable achievements in fiction,prose,poetry and literary theory.The academic circle pays attention to Li Guangtian’s achievements in prose and poetry,but relatively ignores his contribution in literary and artistic thought.However,Li Guangtian’s literary and artistic thought condenses the writer’s creative practical experience and theoretical knowledge,and have their own uniqueness.Therefore,thesis selects Li Guangtian’s literary thoughts as the research object to explore the background,main content and theoretical value of his literary thoughts.The thesis is divided into three parts: introduction,main text,and rest.The introduction part mainly introduces Li Guangtian’s creation,combs the domestic research status of Li Guangtian’s literary thought and literary creation,and clarifies the significance of this thesis.The main text focuses on the analysis of the background,content and significance of Li Guangtian’s literary thoughts.The first chapter focuses on the background of Li Guangtian’s literary and artistic thoughts,and expounds the development direction of Li Guangtian’s literary and artistic thoughts from three aspects of life experience,historical context and theoretical sources.The second chapter explains Li Guangtian’s literary concept.The thesis divides Li Guangtian’s literary outlook into two phases,and points out that his early literary proposition is a kind of self-expression and aesthetic literature,and the later proposition that literature should focus on social reality,serve the people,and emphasize the function of literature for life and society.The third chapter starts with Li Guangtian’s literary creation thoughts,and discusses the important role of the character and imagination of the creative subject,and the artistic expression techniques in the creative process.At the same time,from the perspective of the purpose of creation,thesis analyzes the role played by the external literary image and internal integrity characteristics in expressing the content of the work and shaping the artistic style.The fourth chapter mainly focuses on Li Guangtian’s practice of literary criticism,analyzes the artistic characteristics of Li Guangtian’s poetry criticism,and points out the contribution of his criticism to the healthy development of new poetry.The remaining part explains the significance of Li Guangtian’s literary and artistic thought from three aspects:his unique thought,theoretical construction and attention to society,and points out the contemporary nature of his literary thought.Li Guangtian’s literary and artistic thoughts show the breadth of literary critics’ thinking.His thoughts are born with the times and have distinctive characteristics of the times.We should treat his literary thoughts dialectically,take its essence,and affirm its valuable experience in promoting the development of modern and contemporary literary thoughts,as well as the enlightening effect on the development of current literature.
