| Xu Jiayan was born in the late Ming Dynasty and grew up in Shunzhi period.He fully embodies the contradictions between the two regimes,two cultures,two nations.This paper focuses on Xu Jiayan’s poetry creation,through close reading of the text,reveals the different life predicament and psychological changes that Xu Jiayan faced in the two periods,and shows the influence of the change of the Ming and Qing dynasties on his poetry creation.Specifically,the first chapter summarizes Xu’s family background,analyzes the influence of family cultural tradition on Xu’s life choice and poetry creation,and briefly describes Xu’s life experience.The second chapter examines Xu Jiayan’s social activities,and analyzes the influence of social activities in different periods on Xu Jiayan’s mentality,life and poetry creation.In the third chapter,analyzes the plight of Xu Jiayan in the aspects of his identity,loyalty,life and death,official seclusion,fame and wealth,so as to show his inner resistance to the new dynasty.The fourth chapter analyzes the contents of his poems,reveals the emotional experience behind his poems,and summarizes the changes of his poems.The fifth chapter analysis his poetic thought.The sixth chapter summarizes the artistic features of Xu Jiayan’s poems from three aspects: allusion,image and language,and further shows his alienation from the new dynasty in cultural mentality.The appendix is the chronicle of Xu Jiayan and his social intercourse,which aims to clarify the complicated social intercourse activities of Xu Jiayan and help the later to understand his life and his frequent social intercourse activities among scholars in the early Qing Dynasty.The poems quoted in this thesis are all from the series of Siku Quanshu Cunmu. |
