Yu Runyang(1932-2015)is a contemporary Chinese music theorist who has made important academic contributions to Western music history and Music aesthetics,and is a leading figure in the two disciplines.He has made great achievements in the field of Music criticism.This paper takes Yu Runyang’s music criticism as the research object and tries to make a comprehensive evaluation of his academic achievements from the perspective of music criticism theory.Yu Runyang takes Marxist dialectical materialism as his philosophical basis to criticize the study of Chinese contemporary music theory.From a macro point of view,on the one hand,he always keeps a critical eye when interpreting western music philosophy,which plays an important role in contemporary music theory and thought.On the other hand,while studying the history of western music,he wrote a large number of critical articles on western classical composers and musical works,which has an important impact on improving the national music aesthetic.Firstly,this paper classifies and summarizes Yu Runyang’s music criticism articles.Secondly,it analyzes the characteristics of the author’s music criticism practice,for example,the diversified and open academic vision,the tragic aesthetic appreciation,the methodology of the integration of history and theory,all of which are the remarkable characteristics of Yu Runyang’s music criticism practice.Therefore,the author explores the source of Yu Runyang’s academic thought.The author thinks that the theoretical thoughts of zolfia lisa,a Polish music theorist,and adorno,a German sociologist in the 20 th century have exerted an important influence on Yu Runyang.To sum up,Yu Runyang’s research results of music criticism play an important guiding role in the development of Chinese contemporary music theory.Through the in-depth study of his music criticism results,not only can broaden the Chinese contemporary music theory and thoughts,but also can provide more scholars with information accumulation and reference. |
