| With the wide implementation of “standards-based reform” all over the world,curriculum standards have become the “lighthouse” and focus of basic education reform,pointing out the direction and road for the confused basic education reform.Curriculum standards are closely related to curriculum implementation,which directly affects curriculum content compilation,teaching practice and quality evaluation.The Massachusetts English Language Arts and Literacy Curriculum Standard promulgated by Massachusetts in 2017 represents the latest achievements in the field of curriculum standard research in Massachusetts and even the United States,and promotes the further development of education reform in the United States.From the perspective of English language learning,this standard will also have important enlightenment to the improvement of English curriculum standards and English teaching in China.This study mainly uses comparative methods and text analysis to deeply interpret and analyze the English Curriculum Standards for Primary Schools in Massachusetts,USA.This essay mainly includes three key parts:The first part combs the background and development of Massachusetts English Curriculum Standards from the perspective of historical development.The second part focuses on the Massachusetts English Curriculum Standards,combs the overall framework of the standards from a macro perspective and analyzes their characteristics,and then focuses on the content of the primary school standards,from the reading,writing,listening and speaking,language standards four modules to briefly describe the content,content composition characteristics analysis and implication analysis.The third part is the conclusion,which provides important enlightenment for primary school English curriculum standards and primary school English Teaching in China.The first is the enlightenment to the primary school English curriculum standards.At the level of framework,the content and requirements of grade standards should be specified;At the level of concept,the cooperative education concept of society school and family should be advocated;the concept of English education in the context of all subjects;At the level of content,the internal consistency and consistency of grading standards should be increased,the statement of standard details should be improved,and the content and requirements of primary school language skills should be increased.The second is the Enlightenment of primary school English teaching practice in China which advocates interdisciplinary English teaching practice,English skills teaching focuses on method guidance,attaches importance to the teaching implementation of English reading course,attaches importance to the cultivation of multimedia skills in English teaching and correctly applies the expected effect of teachers in English teaching. |
