A Study On Phonetic System Of Wenxi Dialect

Wenxi town is situated in the east of Qingtian County,Zhejiang Province.It’s dialect belongs to the Oujiang Wu group.This article chooses Wenxi dialect phonetics as the research object.One is to provide detailed materials to fill the gaps in the study of western Oujiang Wu group;the other is to seek the Oujiang Wu group’s internal sound change laws and principles from the Synchronic difference by the method of geographic linguistics and geographic time,and explore the source of Wenxi dialect’s implosion;The third is to analyze the erosion and influence of Wenxi dialect on Qingtian dialect from the perspective of social linguistics,and provide more examples for dialect contact and evolution.This thesis is divided into six chapters:The first chapter is an introduction,which briefly introduces the general situation of Wenxi Town,the research of Wenxi dialect,the research objects,methods and the significance of the topic selection;the second chapter describes the phonetic system of Wenxi dialect in a comprehensive and detailed manner,Consonant,rhyme and tone coordination features,tone sandhi,literary reading,colloquial reading and some special phonetic changes;Chapter 3 is based on Guangyun《广韵》and seeks the corresponding relationship between Wenxi dialect.At the same time,with the help of data information processing technology,the Wenxi dialect’s tonal differentiation and merging coefficients are measured and statistics;Chapter 4 starts from the difference between Wenxi dialect and Wenzhou dialect,uses the method of geographic time to find the law of voice evolution in Oujiang Wu group,and analyze the phenomenon of implosive;Chapter 5 discusses the influence of Oujiang Wu group led by Wenxi dialect on Qingtian dialect;Chapter 6 is the conclusion,summarizes the research results of the first five chapters,and proposes research deficiencies and future efforts direction.The study finds that Wenxi dialect retains many of the early phonetic features of Oujiang Wu group,and it also has its own phonetic evolution innovations.As far as the implosion in Wenxi dialect is concerned,it is in the "voiceless and voiced consonant change circle" of MC initials Bang 帮 and Duan 端,which is a speech phenomenon formed by natural sound change.Under the influence of many non-verbal factors,the scouring and influence of Oujiang Wu group,headed by Wenxi dialect,on the Qingtian dialect’s phonetic system is profound and lasting.
