Research On The Uyghur Translation Of Chinese Sci-tech Neologisms Terminology

As an important carrier of Sci-tech information,the research on the Uyghur translation of Chinese Sci-tech neologisms terminology can help to understand the core content of a certain discipline,promote the high-quality development of Sci-tech innovation strategy in ethnic minorities and ethnic areas,enhance ethnic minorities’ awareness of China’s comprehensive national strength,enhance national pride,and standardize the use,learning and education of ethnic minority language words.And the standardized development of translation is of great significance to ensure the healthy development of minority languages.This paper uses four research methods: quantitative statistics,structural analysis,descriptive and literature analysis.From 3137 Chinese neologisms terminology in “ Chinese Uyghur comparison of neologisms terminology（2019Edition）”,503 Sci-tech neologisms terminology were selected for statistical collation to establish a small corpus.So This paper makes a classified statistics on the internal structure of words in order to explore the strategies and methods of Uyghur translation.This paper is divided into five chapters:The first chapter explains the research reason and the definition of related concepts.The second chapter divides the structure of Sci-tech neologisms terminology.According to the classification and statistics of the structure of the collected corpus,it is found that the structure of Sci-tech neologisms terminology is special and complex.Therefore,it is divided into Non-pure Chinese Character Type and Pure Chinese Character Type.According to the particularity of its own word structure,Impure Chinese Character Type can be divided into five categories and nine sub-categories according to the form of expression and the position of non-Chinese part in the terminology.According to the structure,The Pure Chinese Character Type form is divided into two types: compound type and additional type.The compound type includes subject-predicate type,partial positive type,combined type,predicate object type and appositive type;The additional type includes prefix type and suffix type.The third chapter analyzes its Uyghur translation methods.Combined with data analysis and comparison,it’s found that Impure Chinese Character Type use the collocation method of zero translation and literal translation or free translation,and Pure Chinese Character Type use the translation methods of literal translation,transliteration and free translation.The fourth chapter analyzes the Uyghur translation strategy,and comes to the conclusion that the Impure Chinese Character Type includes the non pure Chinese character part and the Chinese character part.The characteristic of the strategy is that the non pure Chinese character part adopts the foreignization,the Chinese character part adopts the mainly based on foreignization and domestication as minor.And the pure Chinese character style adopts the strategy of foreignization,domestication,translation strategy combining foreignization and domestication.The fifth chapter is the conclusion,which summarizes the laws that Chinese Sci-tech neologisms terminology should follow in the Uyghur translation according to the structural and translation characteristics of the corpus,so as to provide translation reference for the Uyghur translation of new Chinese Sci-tech neologisms terminology in the future.
