Research On Lv Nan’s Shang Shu Shuo Yao

Lv Nan was born in the Cheng hua period of the Ming Dynasty and experienced four dynasties: Hong zhi,Zheng de and Jia jing.He has done academic research for more than 30 years and is a Confucian master in the Ming Dynasty.In the middle of Ming Dynasty,when there was a problem with the official academic thought,Lv Nan actively remedied it.At the same time,Wang Yangming’s doctrine was gradually recognized by students at this time.Students all over China were divided into Wang Yangming and Zhan Ruoshui,but only Lv Nan adhered to official ideas.After Wang Yangming’s death,his doctrine also had great problems due to subjective and objective reasons.Fortunately,Lv Nan’s remedy made this problem and made students more focused on the actual situation.In the process of studying,Lv Nan has been influenced by high-quality teachers and aspired to Confucian classic culture since he was a child.During the reign of Zheng de,a trend of literary retro thought surged.Under this influence,Lv Nan loved Confucian culture more,and advocated the academic research of the Qin and Han dynasties in academic propositions,attaching importance to Confucian theory.In addition to being educated by school teachers,Lv Nan was also influenced by Cheng Zhu’s New Confucianism,Zhang Zai’s Guan Xue and Xue Xuan’s He Dong New Confucianism,and innovated these three theories into a theory of emphasizing practice,which made the practice that had been ignored by people for a long time be re-emphasizing.Because Lv Nan’s theory integrates three theories,Lv Nan has a strong inclusiveness in the process of academic research.Shang Shu Shuo Yao is an important work of Lv Nan on Confucian classics.Shang Shu involved many academic topics in the Ming Dynasty,not only the identification of Shang Shu Kong Shi Zhuan,but also academic topics of support and opposition to Cai chen’s official book Shu Ji Zhuan,as well as neo-Confucian ideas,as responses to the academic atmosphere of the Ming Dynasty and Wang Yangming’s theory,so it has a certain meaning in studying this book.As far as the text of Shang Shu Shuo Yao is concerned,Lv Nan has repeatedly quoted the theory of the Shang Shu Kong Shi Zhuan and Cai Chen’s Shu Ji Zhuan to explain the chapter of Shang Shu.Judging from the quoted,Lv Nan didn’t distinguish the truth of the Shang Shu,this may be related to Lv Nan’s retro trend of thought.The purpose of his quotation is to dredge the scriptures.And for Cai Chen’s theory,Lv Nan has wings to Cai,and also has opposing to Cai,it can be seen that Lv Nan’s interpretation of the Shu Ji Zhuan is not to support or refute Cai Chen,but to dredge the scriptures.Lv Nan’s interpretation of Shang Shu does not emphasize the meaning of the words to much,but pays attention to translation;does not involve debating the authenticity of the Shang Shu Kong Shi Zhuan,and pays attention to quoting the interpretations of the ancients.From these characteristics,we can know that Lv Nan’s attitude towards Confucian classics is to attach importance to practice,give full pay to New-Confucianism,respect Confucian classics,and has his own judgment.In Shang Shu Shuo Yao,Lv Nan believes that theory and practice are not two things,this idea is an inheritance of Zhang Zai.He believes that learning theory should also start with objective practice and run this idea into the New-Confucian ideological system.He also advocates that knowledge should learn before putting it into practice,education measures should be formulated according to different people,and he believes that learning and application are integrated.In addition,Shang Shu Shuo Yao shows Lv Nan’s inheritance to Zhang Zai Guan Xue in many aspects.However,the academic community has been debating which school Lv Nan belongs to,but the author of the paper believes that previous scholars have is rational,because Lv Nan’s way of receiving education is relatively special.He is not only educated by school teachers,but also by other factors,Cheng Zhu New-Confucianism,Zhang Zai Guan Xue and Xue Xuan’s New-Confucianism has been absorbed and shown a return to Confucius’ emphasis on practical thoughts.Finally,Lv Nan’s inheritance to Zhang Zai is also reflected in attaching importance to Confucian classics,actively absorbing other people’s thoughts and attaching importance to practice.These characteristics are reflected in the Shang Shu Shuo Yao.In a word,Shang Shu Shuo Yao it can make us know Lv Nan’s attitude towards Shang Shu,and know how Shang Shu work in our life.In addition,the ideas conveyed by Lv Nan’s Shang Shu Shuo Yao can echo his other works,which makes Lv Nan’s ideological system complete to a certain extent.
