This is a report on the simulated consecutive interpreting of Aerial China.Aerial China documentary presents the completely different topography, climatic environment, and natural ecology of China’s southeast and northwest from an aerial perspective. However,at present,Aerial China has not been officially released in English. When browsing foreign video sharing websites such as You Tube, the author found no Aerial China documentary in English version, but in the comment column, many netizens expressed their desire for English version. This shows the necessity of "Going-Out Strategy " of Chinese culture.Under the context of “Going-Out Strategy” of Chinese culture, increasingly various ways have emerged to spread Chinese culture to the world.Documentaries like Aerial China are perfect materials for introducing Chinese culture to foreigners, and the translation of documentaries plays a key role in this process. The source material is from Ningxia episode and Tianjin episode of Aerial China.During pre-interpreting preparation, the author read many related papers and reports about Aerial China, and had an overall grasp of its various contents, and vivid language style containing lots of figures of speech. In this report, the author recorded and analyzed the difficulties and problems including improper dealing with technical terms, interpreting culture-loaded words, and dealing with long sentences.Fuzzy processing, free translation, and strategy of syntactic linearity are adopted to cope with these difficulties and problems. The author hopes to take this practice as self-training of interpreting skills and an effort to contribute to the “Going-out Strategy” of Chinese culture.
