| This study selected the township civil servants in Meizhou city as the research object,investigated and studied their current situation of working pressure,competence and job satisfaction.Through the statistical analysis of the data obtained from the questionnaire,this study explores the relationship among work pressure and job satisfaction,and analyzes how the competency advantage plays a regulating role in work pressure and job satisfaction.Throughout the existing studies,we found that the previous studies only focused on the relationship between one or two of the three variables,namely,work pressure,competency and job satisfaction.They did not examine the relationship among the three variables at the same time,let alone the regulating effect of competency on the other two variables.(1)Work pressure has negative effect on job satisfaction.The four dimensions of work stress,such as work itself,career development,organization operation mechanism and environment,work communication and interpersonal relationships have a significant negative impact on job satisfaction.(2)competence plays a regulating role in work pressure and job satisfaction.With the increase of competence,the impact of work stress on job satisfaction will be reduced.The six dimensions of competence: self-awareness,career-related skills,political skills,job-related performance effectiveness,career guidance and social networking,and feedback and self-presentation have a regulatory role in the relationship between job stress and job satisfaction.The negative impact of job stress on job satisfaction will decrease with the improvement of self-perception,career-related skills,political skills,job-related performance effectiveness,career guidance and social networking,and ability to seek feedback and self-presentation. |
