China is a unified multi-ethnic country created by people of all ethnic groups.Ethnic issues and ethnic relations are relatively complex,especially in ethnic areas where ethnic minorities live in compact communities.Correctly solving ethnic problems and handling ethnic relations and promoting the unity and progress of all ethnic groups are major issues related to people’s happiness,social harmony,and national stability.Carrying out the work of creating national unity and progress is an important measure to implement the central government’s strategic deployment of propaganda and education for national unity and progress,and is an objective requirement and an important starting point for promoting harmonious ethnic relations.The creation of national unity and progress from the beginning of the founding of New China,bathing in the spring breeze of reform and opening up,to the vigorous development of the new century,and to the deepening of the new era.After 70 years of exploration,practice,and research in China,the work of creating national unity and progress has become more mature and the actual results have become more prominent.Especially as the main position and main channel for the creation of national unity and progress,communities have increasingly become the maintenance of national unity and social harmony.An important force for stability,and gradually established a complete and systematic work operation mechanism.In this paper,the research object of "the creation of ethnic unity and progress in urban communities" is a direct research object.The concept and development process of the creation of ethnic unity and progress in communities are summarized on the basis of summarizing relevant research at home and abroad related to the creation of ethnic unity and progress in urban communities.Discussion;based on field investigation and research,using participatory observation methods and in-depth interviews to investigate the main measures and practical characteristics of the national solidarity and progress creation work in Guangzhou Xinghewan Community,Zhucun South Community and Gangqian Road Community.On this basis,sum up and condense the effective experience of creation.Through literature collation and field investigation,the author found that despite the long-term exploration and development of the work of the creation of national unity and progress in urban communities in my country,we have accumulated a lot of experience.However,under the new situation in which the national distribution and communication pattern of my country has undergone major changes,there are still problems such as imperfectmechanisms,ineffective results,inadequate ways of innovation,and low awareness of residents’ participation in the creation of national unity and progress.Based on this,combining the theoretical resources and practical experience of the creation of ethnic unity and progress in urban communities in China,the author proposes to improve the development of the creation of ethnic unity and progress in urban communities from the aspects of ethnic unity and progress education,service system construction,work teams,and ethnic affairs governance.path.
