| As the only superpower today,the United States’ foreign policy has a significant impact on the whole world,which is no exception in the Middle East.If we want to study the future trend of the Middle East,we must study the policy characteristics and changes of the US government towards the Middle East.In recent years,the United States has adjusted its Middle East policy.After Trump was elected president,he followed the principle of pragmatism and took anti-terrorism,deterrence of Iran and support for Israel as the three pillars of the US Middle East policy.In general,the Trump administration’s Middle East policy lacks a unified plan and strategic coordination,and various policies contradict each other,which greatly reduces the effectiveness of the US Middle East Policy and is not conducive to the stability of the Middle East.Since Russia sent troops to Syria in 2015,it has been strongly involved in the Middle East,strengthened its military position and political influence in the Middle East,became an important force influencing the change of the situation in the Middle East,and changed the situation of American hegemony in the Middle East after the end of the Cold War.After trump took over as president in 2017,he strengthened the competition with Russia in order to consolidate the Middle East status of the United States.With the contest between the United States and Russia,the geopolitical forces in the Middle East have undergone new differentiation and reconstruction,and the geopolitical pattern in the Middle East is undergoing profound and complex changes.The Trump administration’s Middle East policy has also had a significant impact on our country.China seeks comprehensive diplomacy in the Middle East,and maintains good relations with Iran,Saudi Arabia,and Israel.The Trump administration’s regional confrontation policy will undoubtedly increase the difficulty of our country’s equality and comprehensive diplomacy.And the US’s contraction policy has provided space for China to expand its influence in the Middle East.The Middle East countries also hope that China will play a greater role in various issues in the Middle East.To cope with a series of challenges brought about by the Trump administration’s Middle East policy,as our country,we should continue to adhere to the five major ideas of Middle East diplomacy,continue to make efforts on the grand “Belt and Road” construction,and firmly grasp development opportunities,Strengthen cooperation with Middle Eastern countries,enhance economic hard power to enhance comprehensive national strength,and meet various challenges. |
