Research On The Supply And Demand Of Home-based Elderly Care Service In Tengchong

With the acceleration of the aging process,the extension of the average life expectancy,the reduction of the family size and the increase of the demand for the aged,the problem of the aged is concerned by the whole society.For Yunnan border areas,home-based care has become the main way of providing for the aged.In recent years,as one of the 25 border counties(cities)in Yunnan Province,Tengchong has been actively exploring and developing home-based elderly care services based on home-based elderly care,so as to solve the aging problem in the region.Based on the supply and demand of home-based elderly care service in Tengchong City,this paper makes an on-the-spot investigation of Tengchong human resources and Social Security Bureau,Civil Affairs Bureau,Laogan Bureau,community neighborhood committee(village committee),University for the aged and home-based elderly care service center,and interviews with government personnel,heads of neighborhood committee(village committee),heads and staff of home-based elderly care service center Understand the supply of home-based elderly care services in Tengchong.At the same time,using the method of questionnaire,taking the elderly in Tengchong city as the research object,this paper analyzes the demand of home-based elderly care service in Tengchong city.Finally,according to the situation of the supply and demand of homebased pension service in Tengchong City,the paper finds out the performance of the imbalance between supply and demand,analyzes the causes of the imbalance and puts forward the countermeasures to promote the work of home-based pension service in Tengchong city.The main conclusions of this paper are as follows: through the questionnaire survey,this paper analyzes the basic situation of the elderly’s home-based pension service demand in Tengchong City,and further analyzes the influencing factors of the elderly’s homebased pension service demand in Tengchong City,which are significantly related to income level,education level,emotional support of children,satisfaction of community health care service and physical health(suffering from chronic diseases).According to the supply and demand situation,it is found that the imbalance between supply and demand is manifested in the asymmetry of service facilities,service professionals,service distribution and population distribution,and the contradiction between the high growth rate of service demand and the low utilization rate.Therefore,on the basis of the analysis of the reasons for the imbalance between supply and demand,this paper proposes to improve the home-based elderly care service policy,improve the supervision and evaluation mechanism,focus on demand and strengthen the publicity and guidance,promote the change of the concept of the elderly to alleviate the imbalance between supply and demand,and promote the development of home-based elderly care service.
