The rise of new media has given birth to the arrival of the omnimedia era, which is a brand new communication pattern that has changed the information transmission and access through trans-form,trans-means and trans-media. It creates a powerful three-dimensional dissemination condition in the context of the omnimedia through a high integration of new media and traditional media, which can have a profound impact on the media image creation of the fire departments. Nowadays, the social public is not only the passive recipients of information but also the releasers of information; the correct perception of the media image of the fire departments, scientific use of the media image to formulate the communication strategy, and successful handling of the fire-control public opinion crisis is the important content of media image creation of the fire departments in the context of omnimedia. Based on the working practice, this article is to study and explore the media image creation and communication strategy of the fire departments in the context of omnimedia, and innovatively to put forward the omnimedia publicity pattern suitable for the fire departments, which is conducive to coordinating the relationships between the fire departments, the media and the public, and then realizing the effective balance between the freedom of information and the information control.
