Exploration Of China’s Rural Industrialization (1949-1984)

To a certain extent,the degree of rural economic development and its development level is the main reference basis to consider the level of economic and social development of a country or region.Among them,the level of rural industrialization reflects the overall situation of rural economic development and agricultural modernization to a certain extent.China is a big agricultural country with a long history.Before the founding of New China,the development of rural industrialization was relatively slow.After the founding of the People’s Republic of China,the Communist Party of China developed rural industry--commune and brigade industry according to local conditions in the process of promoting national industrialization as a whole.From the birth of the New China in 1949 to the reorganization of the township enterprises in 1984,China’s rural commune and brigade industry has experienced a tortuous course.In this thesis,the industrial development of rural communes and teams in Lianyuan area(1949--1984)was chosen as the research object.On the basis of sorting out the connotation,characteristics and theoretical basis of rural industrialization,this thesis investigated the development course of rural industrialization in Lianyuan area,and concluded that the rural community team industry in Lianyuan experienced a development course of difficult start-up,vigorous rise,contraction and adjustment,gentle development and successful transformation.Through the historical investigation of Lianyuan commune and brigade industry,this thesis analyzes the historical role of rural industrialization in promoting the development of rural economic work and the modernization of rural areas,and sums up the basic experience of rural industrialization.The development of rural commune and team industry in Lianyuan is an epitome of China’s rural industrialization in the early historical process of socialist construction and reform and opening up.The development of rural industrialization has not only absorbed the rural surplus labor force,but also trained a number of specialized skilled personnel,which has made a certain historical contribution to promoting the rapid development of rural economy in this region and the overall economic construction of the country.
