The employment of the disabled has always been a problem that our government is committed to solving.There are a large number of disabled people in China.At present,only a few of them are employed,and most of them are facing a severe employment situation.In the context of China’s efforts to complete the building of a moderately prosperous society in all respects and lift people out of poverty in all respects,the disabled,as a disadvantaged group,should receive sufficient attention,and the employment of the disabled,as a basic issue of people’s livelihood,should receive more attention.This paper takes Jinan city as an example to study the factors affecting the employment of disabled people in Jinan city.Based on the research needs,this paper obtained the research data by issuing questionnaires.The main research content is as follows: First,combing relevant literatures at home and abroad to understand the research trends of relevant scholars.Besides,the research in this paper was designed,including reliability analysis of data,assignment of variables,construction of binary logistic regression model,and the research hypothesis of this paper.Secondly,on the basis of data screening and sorting,the basic situation of employment of disabled people in Jinan was analyzed from four dimensions of individual characteristics,family characteristics,social support characteristics and cognitive characteristics,and chi-square test was conducted.Thirdly,the factors affecting the employment of disabled people in Jinan were analyzed by binary logistic regression model.Finally,according to the factors that affect the employment of disabled people,the paper puts forward the relevant countermeasures and suggestions to promote the employment of disabled people in Jinan city.By analyzing the empirical results,the following conclusions are drawn: The employment rate of disabled people in Jinan is 35.2%,indicating that the employment rate of disabled people in Jinan is slightly lower.The factors affecting the employment of disabled people in Jinan can be divided into four categories: factors of individual characteristics,including gender,age,place of residence,marital status,education level,type of disability,level of disability,and employment skills;family characteristics,mainly refers to the economic situation of the family;social support factors include social insurance participation,subsistence allowance or social assistance and employment skills training;factors of cognitive characteristics include confidence in life,knowledge of employment policies and job satisfaction with people with disabilities.Based on the research conclusion,this paper proposes the following Suggestions to improve the employment situation of the disabled: enhance their employment skills,set up a correct view of employment;implement policies to support employment,establish a network of urban and rural employment;raise the level of education and culture,increase investment in rehabilitation;provide employment skills training,improve the social security system.
